I go to a teens swimming club. However, I am the only boy there and I am 1-2 years older than everyone else. Despite this, I am the slowest in the group. I kid you not, in galas I am put in heats will people who are around 10 yrs old. It's so embarrassing to be losing to people younger than me especially when I'm a boy. I am the biggest and the strongest there and I also workout regularly but I'm still exceptionally slow. Please help.

Hello, I got my new Legion Slim 7i Gen 8 earlier this week, it is treating me well but I have noticed a couple quirks I would love to take care of.
First, when I click caps lock, num lock, or fn lock, I get a box in the bottom middle of my screen that shows a caps/num/fn lock icon. I use the capslock button in game for some inputs and this blocks my screen, so I would love to turn this off somehow. Lenovo Legion Ultimate support was unhelpful, and the common solution I found online of ‘disabling Lenovo Fn and function key service’ did not work either.
My second issue is a bit more of a mystery. Sometimes when gaming or browsing, I will hear a windows 11 chime or two out of nowhere. When gaming, after the chime I get performance drops. I have looked in task manager, and when the sound plays, ‘Desktop Window Manager’ and ‘device Dynamic Linked Library (32-bit)’ both start eating up my cpu usage for around 5 or 10 seconds. If anyone has had a similar issue I am willing to try out some solutions.

Today our Rx had to close at 1:30 because there is no pharmacist after lunch. For the 2 hours left of my shift, people were coming in and asking about it. Everything was fine and civil until at 4 and I was on my way out, a man comes in asking about it, and we told him Rx had to close early and hopefully the hours will be 10-6 like usual tomorrow.
He proceeded to cuss us out, saying "this is a CVS problem" and "your paycheck has CVS on it". So I just told him, literally, "Call corporate. Please don't ask us" and he told us to fuck off. And we (the closers coming in) told him "you too".
I just, really, really wish people understand the concept of FS are not related to Rx and that their frustration must be taken out at the corporate level, not the store level. What am I supposed to do, summon a pharmacist???

I am trying to get my Thrustmaster wheel to work properly on my windows 10 pc. It will not detect as the thrustmaster tx, and just shows up as the Thrustmaster ffb wheel. It will not detect in the thrustmaster control panel or the driver updater.
Just to test, I downloaded the drivers on my windows 11 surface pro, and connected the wheel with no problems. So I know it is something on my desktop that seems to be a problem.
For reference, I have also deleted and reinstalled the driver numerous times, as well as restarted my desktop numerous times without any luck of getting this thing to work.
Anything I can try to get this to connect properly??

I know many within the ASOIAF fandom dislike A Feast for Crows and (to a lesser extent) A Dance with Dragons. Apparently people consider anything that doesn't push the plot forward as "filler". Those chapters are in service of character development and atmosphere and are certainly not useless. George was always interested in exploring the human condition in ASOIAF, and that aspect became increasingly prominent. With FeastDance, George decided to emphasize the human aspect rather than plot. Personally, I think that's the right decision, because characters are pretty much what George is best at. But I am aware that people generally have different expectations than me for books within the fantasy genre.
I remember back in 2015, many book fans thought the decision not to accurately adapt FeastDance would save the Game of Thrones show from demise. Although book readers were generally dissatisfied with some decisions such as the deaths of Stannis and Barristan (which happened in very illogical circumstances) - it seemed that the vast majority of book readers nevertheless overwhelmingly defended David and Dan's decision to "adapt" those two books in just ten episodes.
I know it's not realistic that everything from FeastDance would be adapted into the show. Anyway, subplots were going to be lost, characters scrapped or combined and so on. But D&D didn't even try. The essence of these books was completely lost and character arcs for the characters became practically non-existent. The storylines no longer made sense because logic was thrown overboard. D&D was no longer trying to be consistent and coherent. Season 5 and season 6 still have a few moments in common with the books and here and there is still a lost line of dialogue from the books, but the original context is completely lost.
We know that a lot of material from FeastDance did not make it into the show. D&D totally failed to consider the impact and consequences of their adaptional decisions. They had no idea what to do with the characters after they decided to eliminate their storylines from the books. Despite their attempts to streamline FeastDance, this did not result in better pacing than these books. In fact, D&D tend to add extra padding to most storylines (in an attempt to stretch them for 10 episodes and save the cliffhangers for the last episode). Result is a slower pacing for the show, but unlike FeastDance, that is not used for character development and other important things.
That of the large amount of padding is most noticeable in season 6, in which very little happens before the last two episodes. Examples: Arya's storyline for the season has three episodes in which she is beaten with a stick as a blind person and later, for a few episodes, she is mostly a passive spectator for a play. Tyrion spends the first half of the season making jokes more than governing Meereen. I also had the impression that more time was spent on Dorne during season 5 than in the entirety of Feast for Crows. Despite spending over 40 minutes on that particular storyline, that time was far from well utilized. These were some examples, but even more storylines from season 5 and 6 have similar pacing problems.
Characters are unchanging and extremely passive, the situations from the books became far too oversimplified so there was no longer any depth. Despite all that time for those various storylines, the writers/showrunners didn't do anything useful with them. I consider the praise fans gave D&D for "trimming the fat off FeastDance" to be completely undeserved. After all, what they did was remove all the depth from FeastDance and replace it with empty air.

okay so i recently found out about a position with hawk pest control that is NOT d2d (their Pest control division is d2d) but this is for termite sales (a new division where you get set up with about 8-10 appointments a day and you basically just go close) you get housing and a rental car(they are in several markets in the south) and at minimum KPIs the guy said you should bring in 12 a month (commission is 20 percent of revenue, need to be selling 60k a month). has anyone hear worked with them, know if its too good to be true? ive read mixed reviews about hawk online but am interested. ive sold solar and insurance but know nothing about pest control/termites/bugs

Currently scheduled to take Step on Friday 6/9 (6 days out). I have completed about 54% of UW and my total average is 55%, but the average of my last 5 random blocks is a 64%. I am planning on hammering out some more UW this week along with re-reviewing Pathoma 1-3 and listening to some more Goljan. I feel like my scores are consistent, but so close to borderline that its giving me anxiety. If anyone could drop some advice I would be so grateful!

So I am reading a lot of negative things about living in Mongolia, mainly here so I am posing my question here. I have a few Mongol friends who live in UB, one wants to leave make some 'good money' and return to his original nomadic lifestyle and herd sheep and goats. Another wants to leave, get a good career and then return with better job prospects. The others appear surfacely happy where they are with life with their jobs etc.
Now I am an older university degree student studying forensic psychology, I am aiming to come to Mongolia for 10-12 weeks working in the psychology sector once my course is done. I am actually looking to potentially move to Mongolia if I get on well with coming out on my first trip in summer and my second trip in the following end of winter / spring period when the weather is a little more unstable. I want to know how well I would be accepted by native Mongol's, I am already learning Mongolian so when I get there I will have a good understanding of the language. I know wages will be a lot lower in Mongolia as compared to here in the UK, I will be earning approximately £43k per year basic entry wage, this is equal to ₮185.8м. Do such psychology jobs pay this in Mongolia? I would like some honest experiences from people about living in Mongolia, perhaps even studying in Mongolia. My understanding of education is that it's not without its issues there, a masters degree in Mongolia will not equal the same as masters degree here in England.
I know not all answers will be serious, but I am seeking out a variety of genuine experience from native Mongol's and people who have migrated there. Is moving worth considering?

Left a city job 5 years ago with a little over 8 years of service. Have about $84k accumulated contributions with interest (ACWI) left vested in the pension.
When I've run the calculations it would amount to $1k/month for life with survivor benefits continuing for my spouse for life. I can start withdrawing at 62, am 40 now. Have not accounted for inflation.
If I die before I retire, my spouse will get a lump sum payout of my ACWI because I have <10 years of service.
Interest on contributions prior to 12/31/2011 is 5.75%. Most of my contributions were post 2011 and get less, with my total annual average interest being 3.1-3.3%.
Should I roll this account over to an IRA to start working on better returns? Is the $1k/month in retirement worth it? Appreciate any advice/perspective.
