Dream ko talaga UST kaso free kasi sa state u and 60k per sem is not a joke. Right now im in a dilemma kasi hindi ko na talaga alam huhu. Iniisip ko worth it ba yung tf kasi I know some people na galing Bulsu pero they manage to enter SGV or big banks tas I think they are earning well rn.

For context i (f) am 28years old and my brother is 30. My dad started asking for our bank account balances ever since the start of the pandemic and yung reasoning niya is so he could see that we were saving, at dapat we would be htting our goals... daw. He is the sole provider of TWO families; His own parents, his sibling that suffers from retardation and us.
Although we understand naman his pain that he is alone, mom suggested for him to plan it (stay there for as long as he can, save money while he's there, etc). pero wala talaga. He's hoping he no longer has to extend.
So he suddenly starts joking around with me saying 'Aren't you going to provide for me?' and i didn't know what to say. I was mortified. Then he says, 'just kidding.'
A few weeks later and we haven't given him our balances. My mom tells me that he's asking for it and dad mentioned na he isn't interested daw in our money. She asked me for my honest opinion. I told her, 'Honestly, mom, We don't want to give it anymore. We (my bro and i) never wanted to give it, because it's our money. He shouldn't even know how much we have.' And she's saying na we should at least show the last one we gave. I said no. I also said 'if he's not interested, why is he even asking?'
walang masabi si mom. I'm really disappointed in her kasi she's downplaying the situation. 'para lang mapatahimik si dad.' Which is stupid.
My dad called me earlier and galit sya kasi he's been reminding us to show us our balances. He asked me, 'Are you denying my request??' And lumalaki na daw yung ulo namin kasi hindi na kami nagpapaalam to go out. I got really pissed and wanted to question him as to why i should even be asking. I'm 28 and nawawalan ako ng gana whenever my mom tells me to ask him kung papayagan ako. All my friends are g to go but I have to ASK pa. My friends still live with their folks pero nagsasabi nalang sila na pupunta sila somewhere. They're girls too btw.
Please don't give me the whole 'Ahh, kasi babae ka' shtick because i'm sick of that. It's toxic and sexist.

I have faced this manipulation and it's the reason i have depression, Childhood Trauma, Anxiety and Stress Disorders. I was called trash by my dad, beaten, and a trash can was placed on my head while my mom did nothing and watched.
I'm not sure what to do. I keep telling my brother that we should just leave and find a place, but he always says 'soon'. I feel he's just delaying it and i'm getting sick and tired of that. We agreed kasi to get a place of our own and half the expenses.

I have been thinking of moving abroad pero I have poor confidence because of my educational background.
- Came from SG and moved to Australia way back (stayed for 1 year). Graduated High School (Year 10)
- Went back to PH. Enrolled in College. Did not finish the 4-year course due to financial reasons.
My educational background's timeline is quite complicated iniisip ko baka mahirapan ako mag-apply ng visa dahil dito. Right now I am currently working as a Graphic Designer with 5 Years of experience. I have been thinking of moving to either CN or AU for better work opportunities. I am leaning towards Canada dahil afaik mas maluwag sila compared sa AU pero wala kasi ako kakilala doon. I have been applying sa job bank nila, specifically LMIA. Student pathway is financially impossible for me.
Sa Australia naman, nandoon tita at mga pinsan ko, and I am familiar with the culture since nag-aral na ako before doon. I am just wary sa immigration nila because last I heard nag tighten sila ng policies.

To all the future PA-Cs in this subreddit, I figured I would share this helpful study guide that my class put together. It is pretty well inclusive of nearly all topics from the PANCE blueprint, and it will definitely help you pass!
I was a Wednesday tester from this past week, and excitedly found out today that I passed!
My study tips during clinical year:
Primary resources included Rosh Review EOR exam pack + a study guide
The study guides that I used were Twist of Lemons EOR study guides (for most), followed by study guides that classmates made, which I found just over mid-way though the year, they were similar to ToL, but with more up to date info and a bit more in-depth. The ToL study guides would definitely be enough if combined with Rosh Review, just make some edits along the way. The AAPA Rotation Crash Course podcasts were also a bit helpful for some high yield stuff.
To prepare, I would first download a copy of the study guide to the Notability app on my iPad. This would allow me to highlight important things with my own color-key, and write down extra info I thought was important in the margins.
BEFORE reviewing the study guide information, I would pull up Rosh Review and go through the questions to see what I knew, prior to reviewing the study guide material.
IF POSSIBLE, I would create small Rosh exams based on subject matter. I.e. I would create a “cardiology” exam and select the cardiology questions. Then I would create a “pulmonology” exam with the pulm questions. etc. etc. etc.
While quizzing, ALWAYS use Tutor mode.
If I got a question right and I knew it, I would quickly skim through the explanation and see if there was any other important info.
If I got a question wrong, whether it was a small mistake or I truly didn’t know, I would review the information, and take notes along with the topic in my study guide. Again, highlighting key points and writing extra notes in the margins.
If I got a question right but it was with luck because I truly wasn’t sure, I would again review the information and take notes in my study guide while I followed along.
This helped me better understand things I wasn’t too certain of, because it would give me a patient/clinical vignette to be able to make sense of what was being asked. Instead of just reading bulleted notes, now I had something to associate the information with.
After completing the different sections and marking up my study guide, I would go back through the study guide to review the notes I just took, and review things that didn’t have notes associated with them.
After reviewing the material more in-depth, I would create randomized exams and go through them again to see what I knew. By now I’ve reviewed the material nearly twice, and have a good knowledge of topics. If there are still areas of weakness, review and review some more.
If I was a bit lazy during my rotation and was on a time crunch, I would use the above method with only the “major areas” on the exam. This is where looking up the EOR blueprints is helpful, because you know which categories will be of higher percentage on the exams, and you can tailor your studying that way.
My study tips for the PANCE:
I would recommend taking the PANCE as soon as possible after graduating. The information is still very fresh in your mind, and it’ll reduce the test anxiety associated with the exam.
For the PANCE, I took a somewhat similar approach to my EORs. I utilized the PANCE study guide my classmates had created, PANCE question bank on Rosh, and listened to Cram the PANCE podcasts.

This time, I was more-so focused on the study guide and the podcasts, and would use the ROSH questions sporadically. This was primarily due to the timing factor of it, since Rosh can be time-consuming. But again, I found it helpful to break things down by category to make sure it the questions would coincide with my study guide, when I would utilize Rosh.
I found the podcasts very helpful for high yield information, and some of his ways of remembering things were quite clever. I had several questions on my PANCE that they helped out on!
When test day comes, remember to get plenty of rest the night before, eat a good breakfast (I went with a hard boiled egg, walnuts, and a banana), and take the breaks they give you during the exam. Get up, use the bathroom, stretch, grab a light snack that you packed, drink some water, etc.

I was planning to get a new motorcycle to be specific ADV 160, I have the money naman po and galing sa ipon ko ito now nag aalangan po akong e cash yung motor kasi parang tatamarin akong mag ipon ulit and nag vivisit naman po ako sa mga casa dito sa cebu to get the prices in house financing yung gamit, pero ang laki ng mga interest nila kahit 50% down pa mga nasa 30k yung interest and 1year lang term. I was planning to loan in Robinsons bank o Premium bikes. Okay po ba yung Robinsons Bank or may ibang option pa po. kahit nasa 15-20k lang yung interest will do.

I paid my cc bill this morning sa eastwest bank mismo pero hanggang ngayon di pa rin nagpopost. :( Bukas na yung due date ko and nung tinanong ko yung teller kanina, she said na today daw dapat magrereflect na yung payment. Nahahassle lang ako kasi nung tumawag sakin yung collections team nila the other day to remind, sabi nila Eastwest honors yung date when the payment is posted vs yung transaction date. Totoo ba yun? And gano ba talaga katagal magpost and over the counter payments nila? As usual ang Customer Service hotline nila wala na namang nasagot 😑😑😑😑

PA/NJ, USA - My fiancé was convicted of a DUI in April and now has to pay a fine, attend a mandatory class, and have an interlock ignition device installed on any vehicle he regularly operates and owns. We own 3 vehicles: one his mom uses (solely his name), one I typically use (in both names), and one he typically uses (solely my name). The DUI actually occurred in NJ. Is he absolutely required to have the IID installed on all 3 vehicles? Could I be liable if it is or isn't installed on the vehicle I own?
The other thing is he recently totaled both the cars he and I use on a daily basis a month apart. Both accidents were not related to the DUI. The second one involved the vehicle I normally use. It happened to be 2 days after his court date where he was told he needs to have the IID while driving in NJ. He rear-ended a truck. We did not report it immediately because we only have liability coverage and we knew we would have to do the repairs ourselves. Our vehicle most likely would have been totaled. A month after the accident, the other party filed a bodily injury claim saying the driver and all passengers were injured, and at the same time I was informed that their vehicle was also totaled. We have minimum coverage in all aspects of insurance.
We own a home together that is not paid off. We also have a joint bank account that pays all the bills. I'm worried that I could be liable for all of his mistakes. Could I be stuck paying for things related to his DUI and the bodily injury claim? Is my house at risk?

Basically the title. The SO of a close friend offers a high return per month (up to 10% per month). The thing is, this is a consumer goods/ trading startup and not a fund management firm.
My friends have invested and planning to add more but I am afraid that this might turn south. I already told them na this return is absurd even beating digital banks and S&P500. Their sales performance are only monitored/ shown on excel files (my goodness), and their socmed foot traffic/ engagement is almost nonexistent.

I've been visiting and checking different banks in Metro Manila because I am inquiring for a loan. I try to compare yung loan rates and promo nila so I can choose the best. Very few na lang di ko nakavisit like AUB and Landbank. Normally, I provide my contact number na I am using for more than 10 yrs already.
Kaso nitong nakaraan, I only visited Chinabank and Security bank because I received good recommendation from my friends. They asked me to fill out the necessary information so they can do an initial review if I am qualified. I did gave all information they have in the form and the only difference is I gave my other number which I only use for business transactions. Why did I provide a different number? Umay na ko sa mga ghost callers doon sa isa kong number kasi everyday consistent na may tumawag dahil naisulat ko sa contact tracing forms noong pandemic so normal instinct ko is not to accept any calls unless magpakilala muna by sending a text message.
