Hey y'all, so before I ask, a little context on me personally. I am big, like really big. Weighed in at the doctor a few weeks ago at over 400lbs. I am 22 years old and 6 foot tall. For the most part I do not have mobility issues since I have been over 200lbs since I was at least 12. I am trying to lose weight so that way I won't have major issues in the future. I work out at home at least 3 times a week at home with weights plus other exercises for at least 30 minutes. My job is sedentary so I don't have the ability to change much there.
I am having a really hard time trying to find a good source on how much of each type of macro that I should eat. I see places that say to eat 1 to 1.5g of protein per pound. But that would not be possible for how much I weigh. Is that based on how much I want to weigh?
I also am having a hard time finding how many calories I should be eating each day to lose weight. Some places say 3500 others say 2000. This whole situation is confusing.
I just want to know how much of each I should be eating, or at least how much I need to aim for in order to lose weight, from there I can figure out what to do meal wise that is within my specific pallet.
I am trying to aim for 250 within the next 2 years at the latest. Any advice would be helpful! :/

She came to the uk (my home) in January 2021 and stayed until November 2021 at which point we both travelled back to the US, I was on an esta.
Before leaving the us in 90 days we got married, then we both went to the uk. Stayed for several month, came to the us stayed for under 90 days and left.
This has been ongoing, each time we’ve left on time and we’ve never been apart.
I’m currently on day 87/90 of my esta, her health has been diminishing and because I care for her it’s hard for me to leave while we obtain the correct stuff. She has countless Dr appointments, and issues that all arrised unexpectedly during 2021, if we go to the uk she can’t get treatment she needs, if I leave her here in the US while I go to the UK then she won’t be cared for and she simply can not survive alone.
I am self employed in the UK doing app development, I strictly only work with British clients and seek no work while here in the us. I work completely remotely.
My wife is a student at university currently as such her income is not substantial and I pay the majority of everything for us, bar rent which is paid by her grandma who we live with.
I also help take care of grandma and take her to all her appointments etc.
We need to know what to do and what needs filled in before my 90 days expire.
I know it’s a risk in general applying whilst on an esta, and could be deemed as fraud but we’re really between a rock and a hard place.
I’ve travelled here many times and left within my allotted time every time, so I have a proved track record of following rules other than this time, I didn’t enter and intend to stay, but we have no choice.

I asked for a separation 3 months ago, he was very much opposed and still wants reconciliation, however he has said that the separation was 100% his fault and he treated me terribly (controlling, emotionally/mentally abusive, treated me like property, completely checked out and not contributing and seriously invading my privacy while lying to me constantly). I lived with my parents for 2 months immediately after the separation but always brought my kids back for the weekend to spend with dad (3 hours drive).
A month ago I started a new job and moved back to the house and got my kids in daycare. Their dad is renting a room close by and picks the kids up after daycare. I have them in the morning and bring them to daycare, I work until 6 pm and take over their care from him after work until bedtime and I am with them over nights (they’re both little enough that they still wake up at night sometimes).
I’ve been very clear with him that I’m looking for a house to rent with my friend. I’ve let him know every step of the way from going to look at places, sending applications and finally getting accepted for a place, a beautiful little house.
We are originally from the city, which is a little over an hour from where we are now. We’ve live in our rural house for a year now. I’ve always been clear that I’m moving back to the city because that’s where I have friends and some family still.
I told him my plan for the kids, the school close to my new house is excellent and our oldest starts school im this fall. It’s one of the top 10 schools in the city testing scores well above average, and it’s bilingual. I have made a schedule for 2 very close friends and my sister to help pick the kids up after school/daycare while I’m still working and watch them for about an hour, and their dad works in the city 1-2 times a week and am planning for him to pick them up on those days so he gets extra time, and he would still have them on the weekends to try to get them as much time with both of us.
Today my STBXH told me that he thinks the kids should stay out in the country with him during the week, and I could have them on weekends. I wouldn’t see them at all during the week because of my later ending work schedule. The school in the rural area the Josie we own together is also one of the lowest rated schools in the district. Bottom 20 of nearly 400 with all testing scores below average and it is not bilingual. Because STBXH also works in the city, an hour away, 1-2 times a week, if there was an emergency or if either of the kids were sick and had to be picked up he would be an hour+ away with no one local to help him. He wouldn’t be able to even do drop off on those days because he leaves the house at 6 am, he’s hoping to ask to get an exemption to be able to wfh all the time, but I don’t know if they’d give them out for people having to pick up their kids or everyone would ask for one. He digs in very hard and we don’t see eye to eye right now. I don’t want to have to deal with lawyers and court, and I want to keep things as amicable as we can to be the best co-parents we can. I also feel concerned mildly about them being with him 5 days straight. He has never watched them for that long by himself, their entire lives. I have had them for weeks alone and have always been the primary caregiver and organizer of the kids stuff; buying clothes, getting health cards, doctors appointments etc. He also has a history of alcoholism, he struggled on and off for years and I had one very bad experience we’re I went to visit a friend for the evening an hour away and came home to the kids sleeping (safely and soundly thank god) but STBXH had 8-10 beers and smoked weed after I left and was completely passed out in the bed on top of the covers with his clothes on. I was really scared, and angry. He’s been sober for 6 ish months now. I don’t know what to do if he digs in and doesn’t agree to a plan with me. Lawyers take a long time, are expensive (money I don’t really have honestly) and it’s really hard on the kids. I think maybe he thinks if he digs in, I would stay out here to be with my kids. It’s not a good option and I don’t want to be controlled like that, out of fear of losing my kids. What is the best route?

I (23f) ordered a plague doctor style mask off of Temu a couple of weeks ago, to pull a little prank on my mom (43f) and mildly spook her. It came in while I was at work today and I opened it once I got home. I walked into my mom’s room and oriented myself to look at her (I wear glasses but they didn’t fit under the mask.) My mom jumped when I walked in and yelled at me to take the mask off. I did and told her sorry, that I didn’t mean to scare her that bad with it. She then got mad at me and said that she wasn’t scared. She told me that it was ‘insensitive to the people who suffered through the Black Plague’ and I was mocking them. I insisted that I didn’t intend to mock anyone and that I was having harmless fun with the mask. Mom told me that she doesn’t want to see the mask again. She’s giving me the cold shoulder now.

- Nobody in our household and none of our relatives have ever had COVID or was suspected to have it.
- Nobody in our family history as far as I know has ever had the plague. I don’t know if our history reaches that far but the plague happened in the 1300’s so we wouldn’t have any records from then even if it did.
- We took COVID very seriously and social distanced, wore masks, and we got the vaccine (and I got both boosters). Even once the restrictions were eased in our state, we were very militant about PPE and social distancing for about a year until our numbers dropped to ‘safe’ levels.

Hi everyone. I graduated audio school almost a year ago, and will be interning at a studio in the fall. In the time since, I’ve been expanding my plugin library as well as saving for some decent hardware. I’m looking at an Apollo, but I’m not sure whether to get the quad or spring for the X4. For the time being, I’m gonna be working either at client locations or renting some studio rooms I have access to (all so far of which will be metal projects and demos) I also don’t have a dedicated room for working, as I just turned 20 last month and still live with family at home, so I’m rocking with a pair of direct sound EX-29s that I enjoy quite a bit. I have a 2021 MacBook Pro that I bought new so processing power isn’t an issue. Any other hardware suggestions are extremely welcome, and my budget currently is sitting at 6k-7k and growing a bit in the coming months before my internship. Thank you in advance!

I’m a 30 yo American woman, and my partner is a 30 yo Canadian woman.
We met almost 10 years ago now, and started dating 6 years ago. We met online, on Tumblr back in the day, and I ended up moving in with a mutual friend in the states I met through her, who now is no longer a friend to either of us. This person turned out to be a manipulative hoarder and compulsive liar, as well as verbally and sometimes physically abusive toward me. Due to my childhood I have difficulty making friends in the first place so she had been really my last and only friend in the states at the time and I now have no one who knew us when we met and started dating.
We’re both very private and fairly antisocial people so we have a small friend group now, made up of two of her childhood friends and five new friends we’ve met since we moved provinces. The new friends we’ve only know for the year we’ve been here. We haven’t and can’t tell her parents that we’re in a relationship due to their homophobia and likelihood they would disown her. I’m no contact with my parents. Our first concern is that we won’t have enough people to vouch for the relationship’s legitimacy.
I was living in America at the time we met, and visited her in Canada several times, staying a couple weeks at a time. She visited me the states for four months (the longest they would allow her to). I’ve since been living in Canada for the past three years on extended visitation, this past year being actually living in the same address as my partner. I’m renting from my partner, though often rent has been in the form of being a cleaner and personal assistant around the home (cleaning, cooking, scheduling appointments) since it’s been near impossible to find steady American jobs that I can do from home. Because of the lack of steady income, my name is not on any of the bills. I have some pieces of mail that have come in my name, but most of my personal ‘mail’ is paperless. I do, however, have a few government documents from the US and Canada that have come in my name, from my visitation extension and from extending my US driver’s license. We live in Alberta, which doesn’t allow an American to get a license unless they have a more permanent status (work visa, study visa, permanent residency), so I don’t have any ID with my current address on, either. Our second biggest concern is not having enough paperwork showing I live here with her. The third is that this process would somehow cause her parents to find out about the relationship.
We’ve seen some people discussing this recent and saying common law is the way to go, since marriages of less than two years have the same paperwork requirements anyway. We’ve also seen some conflicting advice about whether or not we should higher a lawyer or some other representative to file the paperwork for us, but my partner has been almost exclusively sponsoring me financially and we don’t make a ton of money. How expensive can we expect the process to be? It’s my understanding that once we file I can also immediately file for an open work license, and I already have a friend ready to give me a job the moment I have legal working status, but it’s been really hard up until now. Our biggest fear is being rejected and me having to go back and tear up the life we’ve built together.
Any advice at all would be appreciated.

It's been ten days since Natsuki got kidnapped and held hostage by the recently arrived agents from Coomer. We beat them and promptly moved base to this little cabin like structure just at the outskirts of town, it's run down in places but it's nothing we can't fix up! Since last week nobody has reported any sightings of any Coomer agents which is expected, but I know it's just part of how they work. They look for a trial and follow it, until they find you. But when they do, they don't attack, they hang back for awhile and watch, waiting for a moment to take you by surprise. Stalking you. Assessing your strengths and weaknesses. Waiting for an opportunity. When they do make their move, they are quick. They are precise. They are calculating. They do not make mistakes. They do not get cocky. They do not let up for a second. That's why we all need to be on high alert and wide eyed. Hell, normal patrol is more dangerous now than ever! We just need to get permission and recognition from everybody else if we want to patrol for the night! Thankfully we came up with a secret code for the group chat, just in case that anybody that hacks into our group chat will not recognise what we are talking about right away. Basically we use emojis to let the others know about certain things, it's a code and it confuses me at the best of times. But Sayori did put this together on a whim so we should be just that little bit safer now. Right now I'm sitting in my apartment watching tv as I wait for Monika to come back from visiting her parents. She asked me if I wanted to come along but I declined her offer, I just want to rest a little bit from working hard to make the base for us. I had Sayori on my back telling me the various things she wanted, it was like her telling Santa what she wanted for Christmas! It was a ridiculous amount of things I had to make and it really took the wind out of my sails! So here I am, just relaxing I guess... I look at the tv show I was watching, it's some random programme about a teacher making drugs or something? I don't know about it, it's kinda funny I suppose, yet I can't really sit down and just enjoy it. In the back of my mind, I'm worried sick about Monika! She's been away for an hour now and I feel like it's been far too long for her to be out and not at least send me a text or whatever! But I shouldn't think too much of this, I'm just stressed out of my mind and very tired. I rub my eyes as I try to return back to the programme, but I just can't. Now that I've acknowledged the worry I can't get it out of my head! Fuck it! I toss away the remote and grab my phone, I'll just give her a text. Ask her how she's getting on with her parents. I shoot Monika a text in our chat reading:
'hey honey! just checking up on u and ur parents, how is it all going??' I set down my phone and wait for a reply...
one minute passes...
She still hasn't seen my text! Argh! Botan, give her time to pull out the phone and have a look at her notifications! She's with her parents for goodness sake, she can't just focus on me all the time! I need to settle down more! Maybe if I do some chores? I stand up and look around the apartment? What could I do? Maybe give the carpet a vacuum? Yeah! I head over to the closet, pull out the vacuum and bring it over to the centre of the living room. I turn it on and start the routine of clearing up the floor. I move the couch and get under it as I make my way around the room. Reaching into little corners and below the tv stand as I make sure everything's clean! I smile as I turn the vacuum off and see that the carpet is now much cleaner! I smile as I put the vacuum back into the closet. I then head back over to the couch and pick up my phone, Monika still hasn't seen my message? I'm getting concerned now, it's been unread for seven minutes, maybe I should phone her?? I go to select the call option but I stop myself, I am just....overreacting. Give her time. Maybe she left her phone in another room? She's at her parents' house after all? Or maybe she still hasn't gotten a chance to? Right, well what now?

Guess some dinner wouldn't hurt? I walk into the kitchen and have a look around the fridge for something to eat? Hmmm, maybe Monika would like something for when she gets back? I grab my phone and give her another text. 'would u like something 4 dinner?' I put my phone back into my pocket as I have another look. Guess I'll have some pizza with some chips! I take out a bag of frozen chips and a pepperoni and cheese pizza, setting them both onto the kitchen counter. I grab a tray for both pizza and fries and set them both out. I head over to the cooker and pre-heat the oven as I give it a minute or so. I then put my chips in first, followed by the pizza and close the oven door. Time to let them cook! I head back over to the living room and sit down. Got to give them time to cook, so what now? I look at the time, it's just coming up to eight? Hmmm, Monika did say she'll be back at around eight so....where is she? Botan! Stop it! I slap myself in the face! I really need to get a grip of myself! Maybe I can destress with a nice bath? Yeah, that will help! I walk into the kitchen and set a timer on the electronic clock for my food to be taken out. I then head into the bathroom and start running the bath. After a few minutes the bath is filled up and has plenty of bubbles going as I take off my clothes, here we go! I step in as the warm water quickly makes me jump in surprise at the heat! I then quickly get in as I relax. Oh yeah, this is much better! I smile, it's almost like I wasn't panicking about my girlfriend potentially going missing when she's out right now! ….urgh! I cover my face in water and take a deep breath. I just need to calm down. That's all. Monika can handle herself. The worse thing that could happen is that she gets killed and I never see her again...rgh! That temper I have, I almost forgot! Jeez, no more thoughts like that! Jesus, why did I even think of that?? Am I really wanting to push myself to burst out there and go looking for her? She's fine! As soon as I think that I hear my phone vibrate in the pocket of my shorts! Oh! That's probably her! I reach over to my towel, drying my hands before grabbing my phone. I take look at the message I just got, it's from Yuri?
Y: 'Hi Botan, I know this may seem a little short notice but can you please come down to the shop? I require your assistance with something' …sigh, fuck off man! I shake my head and chuck my phone away! Fucking Yuri! Why does she have to ask me of all people?! Why not her fucking boy toy?! sigh...calm down man. I'm losing it. Having no Monika around is really bad for me. She's the only thing keeping me from floating away from reason. With Coomer now here too, I guess it's all starting to pile up somewhat? Sigh...right. I pick my phone back up and send Yuri a text.
B: 'kk Yuri, give me 5 mins' I sigh as I sit up, so much for this bath? I quickly get out and dry myself off with a towel. I then walk out of the bathroom after pulling the plug on the bath, my phone vibrates again? I check it, another message from Yuri.
Y: 'thank you very much, please bring your best suit too!' ...oh right! I quickly dry off my hair and get in costume before running to the window-wait! I check on the timer in the kitchen, there's still around fifteen minutes to go? I turn the heat down to the minimum and make the adjust on the time, I just to be sure I don't want to burn down my new home. Monika would kill me. I leap out of the window into the dying light of the day! Okay, to the store! I don't know what's going on with Yuri but she might need my help! Although her texts were quite casual there? No matter! I can hear him moving about as I try to keep quiet, I need to get the jump on him. I don't want to hurt him of course, this could be some sort of episode he's suffering from? I spawn in some sleeping gas as I look around for him, just going to put to him to sleep so that I can start to look him over. This must be some- "Yawh!" The man jumps on my back as I stagger for a second! He hits me or rather slaps me in the head a few times before I grab his arm and throw him off of me! I'm not too hard as I only pull him off and get in front of me as he tries to scramble to his feet, but sadly for him I'm too quick as I hook his head and apply the gas to his mouth and nose. The man struggles at first but starts to slow down as he eyes close and then he's out. I set him down into the recovery position as I look at him. Poor guy, what was the cause of this? If the drug runs in the blood then that will be where our answers lie. The room then gets lit up in blues and reds as the police arrive first! B: "Drug." I say to her and she subtly nods. The police come over and start talking to Yuri as the ambulance arrives shortly after. I give them the run down of Nicks' actions as well as another sample of blood for them to test, the authorities could do with a heads up about what this drug actually is. Nick gets carted away as things get rapped up rather quickly as the ambulance goes off to take Nick to hospital and the police leave after they take our statements and have a general look around. Soon it's only me and Yuri again, she looks at me.
Y: "Thank you again with your help Botan, I just didn't really know what to do...that was so sudden."
B: "Don't mention it...here..." I hand her the sample as she looks at it.

M: "Just relax darling...just...it's okay..." I sigh as Monika smiles sadly. "Hey? How about we go lie down and eat this food okay? Let's just snuggle together while eating pizza huh?" She smiles as I nod.

M: "Good boy..." She helps me up and takes the pizza as we go through to the other room to rest.

Look at this mess! Was it too much for me to ask Botan to at least help me tidy this up? Sigh...I'm going to be here forever! As I'm sweeping the floor the lights suddenly come back on?

I smile as I dump the rest of them into the bin and turn around to see Alex moving a few boxes. I glance over to Sayori, she seems to have this faraway look in her eye? She seems sad? uuu, I want to say something to her but I don't want to say the wrong thing! I walk up to Alex as he looks at me.
A: "Hey Yuri, what's up?"
Y: "Um, it might be just me but.... have you noticed Sayori has been quiet for the past ten minutes or so?" We glance at her as she's smiling while looking at a few flowers.
A: "Well... yeah. I didn't want to say this in front of her but, tonight was one of her quiet nights." I look at him as Alex looks generally worried. "She was... you know?" I nod.
Y: "I see... her rainclouds must of came in again..."
A: "Yeah... I didn't want to provoke her in some way so I just let her be."
Y: "That's probably the right move, she might just be having one of her down days..." We look on in silence as Sayori suddenly turns around and smiles at us.
S: "Okay! I'm done here, what about you guys? Is there anything else to do??"
A: "Uh...Yuri?" I look around... everything seems to be in order? If not, I'll just sort it out for tomorrow.
Y: "It's fine! I think we've done everything we could! Thank you for your help guys~"

S: "You're welcome!" Sayori smiles as she skips to the front door. "I'm going to go ahead a little early if that's okay, I'm rather tired..."
A: "Are you sure? We should go together, that way Coomer can't pick you off Sayori."

It's been ten days since Natsuki got kidnapped and held hostage by the recently arrived agents from Coomer. We beat them and promptly moved base to this little cabin like structure just at the outskirts of town, it's run down in places but it's nothing we can't fix up! Since last week nobody has reported any sightings of any Coomer agents which is expected, but I know it's just part of how they work. They look for a trial and follow it, until they find you. But when they do, they don't attack, they hang back for awhile and watch, waiting for a moment to take you by surprise. Stalking you. Assessing your strengths and weaknesses. Waiting for an opportunity. When they do make their move, they are quick. They are precise. They are calculating. They do not make mistakes. They do not get cocky. They do not let up for a second. That's why we all need to be on high alert and wide eyed. Hell, normal patrol is more dangerous now than ever! We just need to get permission and recognition from everybody else if we want to patrol for the night! Thankfully we came up with a secret code for the group chat, just in case that anybody that hacks into our group chat will not recognise what we are talking about right away. Basically we use emojis to let the others know about certain things, it's a code and it confuses me at the best of times. But Sayori did put this together on a whim so we should be just that little bit safer now. Right now I'm sitting in my apartment watching tv as I wait for Monika to come back from visiting her parents. She asked me if I wanted to come along but I declined her offer, I just want to rest a little bit from working hard to make the base for us. I had Sayori on my back telling me the various things she wanted, it was like her telling Santa what she wanted for Christmas! It was a ridiculous amount of things I had to make and it really took the wind out of my sails! So here I am, just relaxing I guess... I look at the tv show I was watching, it's some random programme about a teacher making drugs or something? I don't know about it, it's kinda funny I suppose, yet I can't really sit down and just enjoy it. In the back of my mind, I'm worried sick about Monika! She's been away for an hour now and I feel like it's been far too long for her to be out and not at least send me a text or whatever! But I shouldn't think too much of this, I'm just stressed out of my mind and very tired. I rub my eyes as I try to return back to the programme, but I just can't. Now that I've acknowledged the worry I can't get it out of my head! Fuck it! I toss away the remote and grab my phone, I'll just give her a text. Ask her how she's getting on with her parents. I shoot Monika a text in our chat reading:
'hey honey! just checking up on u and ur parents, how is it all going??' I set down my phone and wait for a reply...

I then head back over to the couch and pick up my phone, Monika still hasn't seen my message? I'm getting concerned now, it's been unread for seven minutes, maybe I should phone her?? I go to select the call option but I stop myself, I am just....overreacting. Give her time. Maybe she left her phone in another room? She's at her parents' house after all? Or maybe she still hasn't gotten a chance to? Right, well what now?

I head over to the cooker and pre-heat the oven as I give it a minute or so. I then put my chips in first, followed by the pizza and close the oven door. Time to let them cook! I head back over to the living room and sit down. Got to give them time to cook, so what now? I look at the time, it's just coming up to eight? Hmmm, Monika did say she'll be back at around eight so....where is she? Botan! Stop it! I slap myself in the face! I really need to get a grip of myself! Maybe I can destress with a nice bath? Yeah, that will help! I walk into the kitchen and set a timer on the electronic clock for my food to be taken out. I then head into the bathroom and start running the bath. After a few minutes the bath is filled up and has plenty of bubbles going as I take off my clothes, here we go! I step in as the warm water quickly makes me jump in surprise at the heat! I cover my face in water and take a deep breath. I just need to calm down. That's all. Monika can handle herself. Okay, so long story short, my Nan has dementia and doesn't have much longer to live, she's barely eating and drinking and her health is constantly declining. She is moving down to a care home near where I live since she lives 4 hours away currently. Also, my sister has been evicted from her house because her Landlord doesn't want to fix any of the ongoing problems in the house she has been renting, so she is stuck at my other sister's house, which is a 2 bedroom house, that now needs to hold 7 people. My sister and my mother are extremely stressed, and so am I. I have exams as well, I've already done a few but I have more coming up and I just feel extremely stressed with everything.
Now, onto my girlfriend. She's amazing, she honestly makes me feel really happy, but sometimes I don't know if I'm fit for a relationship right now, I don't know what to do. She is going through her own problems and I really want to be there for her, but at the same time, my mental health really isn't good right now. I did try breaking up with her before, as I wanted to focus on myself, but I ended up feeling really bad about it, and we're back together. I told her if my mental health got worse I may need to consider a break up but I really don't have the heart to do it. She's such a lovely person and she's going through a lot right now. I just can't bring myself to break up with her. Seeing her upset in school would destroy me and I know it.
I don't know what to do. I don't think I'm fit for a relationship, we don't see each other much now, and I constantly worry about the fact that I'm doing something wrong. Long story short I left a job I sorta liked because I thought T-Mobile would be better for me. In actuality it has not only been worse, but I’m constantly riddled with anxiety when I’m here. I’ve had people show me how to do things multiple times, I’ve tried to activate people, I just really still have no idea what I am doing. It’s gotten to a point where I push customers away because my anxiety takes over and I can’t bring myself to do anything more. All I’ve been able to do successfully without help is so upgrades. I hate our system, it’s always crashing when I do upgrades and trade ins and it’s honestly just not worth the headache to me. I go home in tears almost every day. Just wondering if there’s any other MEs that have had this sorta experience, and if it’s ever gotten better or if you just left for your own sanity.

Second, a lot of you seemed interested in my experience with the SJS rash, and how I managed to catch it early. I wanted to finish my course of steroids before making this just to make sure I was in the clear, so that’s why it took a while for me to start writing this. Thank you all for the well wishes! Now, let’s get into it. I’m essentially going to give a calendar view of what happened, along with some photos to explain the progression of my symptoms. May 5th - Started on 25mg of lamotrigine May 12th - Went up to 50mg of lamotrigine May 13th - Passed out, my first adverse side effect of lamotrigine May 17th - Woke up with an incredibly swollen gland on the back of my neck(photo 1) as well as a small white spot on my tonsils. Went to urgent care due to pain when swallowing, tested negative for strep throat. May 19th - went up to 75mg of lamotrigine May 17th-24th - I had horrible body aches and pains, trouble swallowing, and was sleeping 18+ hours a day. Slowly, every lymph node in my neck became enlarged and painful. (Photo 2) May 24 - woke up with a low grade fever and abdominal pain, and decided to go to urgent care again. Tested negative for strep and mono. Urgent care sent me to the emergency room to get STAT bloodwork done because the abdominal pain was indicative of spleen and kidney issues. At the emergency room I tested negative for Covid, influenza, and RSV, and my blood work came back completely normal, which the doctor chalked up to my body poorly fighting off a viral infection. However, he WAS concerned about an adverse reaction to lamotrigine, and offered to do a skin inspection. I was forced to decline due to my dad thinking I was being dramatic. I was sent home with instructions to just push fluids and take fever reducers. May 26 - fever got up to 103°, and the rash started. Photo 3 was the rash at 4 PM, photo 4 was the rash at 5 PM. We assumed it was the virus leaving my system. May 27th - The rash doubled in size overnight; it had gone from small specks on my chest to being on every part of my body. EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT ON LAMOTRIGINE, GO TO A DOCTOR IF THIS HAPPENS. Photo 5 was at 6 AM, photo 6 was at 7 AM. I took a shower at 9 AM to see if maybe it was just dermatitis, and it didn’t get better. My mom drove me to the hospital and I was admitted. Photo 7 was what it looked like by 10 AM. They sent photos of me to the CDC, and kept me for observation. Photo 8 was what it looked like by 5 PM. May 28th - The rash had gotten significantly worse. Photo 9 was what I looked like at 11 that morning. They decided to keep me another day for observation, and started steroids. Photo 10 is my chest that day as well. May 29th - Steroids had significantly reduced the redness and rise of the rash (photo 11), so I was discharged with a course of steroids to take. I have been home since! The rash slowly went away and I’m looking (almost) normal again! Important details:

First off apologies for format, I’m on mobile and I’m not all that great at typing.
For context my gf and I have had very conflicting schedules for a few months now. I work nights full time and she goes to college during the day. We see each other a couple hours each day but we’re both very busy outside our jobs and schooling with our families so we never have full days with each other. Our sleep schedules are different as well which doesn’t help. I only see her after she’s exhausted from school and she only sees me as I’m getting ready for work except on weekends. We’d been wanting to spend time together rewatching our favorite movie series so we cleared a Saturday morning for us. I wouldn’t be able to stay awake through the whole series but I didn’t mind. I just wanted to watch one or two with her. Our plan was I would come home from work, we’d have breakfast and then get right into it. I get home Saturday morning and she’s gone. I call her and find out she’s shopping. She normally does it when I’m asleep but she was up early so she wanted to get it done. I was already annoyed that she chose to break from our plan but didn’t think it that big a deal. Until she comes home 3 whole hours later. At this point she can tell I wasn’t too happy. I help her out everything away and tell her to just get started on a movie. They’re long movies so I wanted to get started before I got too tired. All was well with the movie playing until an hour and a half through the movie with an hour and a half left she gets a call from her mother. I pause the movie and let her take it assuming it will be quick. It was not. An hour goes by before I tell her I’m going to bed as I’m no longer in the mood to watch the movie. She comes into the bedroom a few minutes later and apologizes for making me wait and that her mom just wanted to catch up. I asked why it couldn’t wait and she simply says “It’s my mom and she was worried. You’d do the same.” I told her if I was already in the middle of an outing or other plans I’d have told her to call me back. I made sure to tell her that I’d really been looking forward to this and it wasn’t fair making me wait instead of her mother when she can call her any time. She ends up leaving the room telling me I have no right to heckle her for something she’s already apologized and felt bad for. I wasn’t trying to make her feel guilty but I felt it would have been shitty to wait until later to bring it up again. AITA?

Hello, I’ll do my best to explain the situation in a concise manner. My Mother in law was dealing with an animal hoarding issue for many years. In 2019 we began the process of finding homes for 11 of her 13 cats. We were able to get the number of animals down to 2 cats and one dog. In 2021 my husbands Uncle offered to remodel the home which was in complete disrepair due to the animals destroying the interior of it. The house has since been completely remodeled but my husbands Uncle requested someone move in with my mother in law because he wanted to charge rent for the cost of the remodel. It’s a long story but he bought the home from my mother in law because she could no longer afford the expense so he let her live there rent free for years until the remodel took place. Last year my sister in law and her boyfriend moved in to help pay the rent and care for my aging mother in laws needs. Upon moving into the remodeled home an agreement was made with my husband’s Uncle and sister in law. The agreement was that only 2 cats and one dog would be allowed because of the previous damage that was done to the home. A contract was signed etc… We’ll about 2 months ago my sister in law took in her friends dog as a favor because the friend could no longer keep it, my sister in law let us know that it would be a temporary situation. The dog ended up having 4 puppies! My sister in law didn’t even know the dog was pregnant. So recently my sister in law let my husband and I know that her friend can’t keep the dog so she’d be keeping it as well as one of the puppies. I want to explain that my husband comes from a very tight knit Filipino family so involvement from everyone is a very normalized thing, and a lot of responsibility has fallen on him being the eldest. It’s just him and his sister.
