2023.03.21 19:20 LordRumBottoms Watching The Hunter with Willem Dafoe and Sam Neill on tracking the thylacine. Mr. Dafoe said it was one of his favorite films he worked on. The actual footage of the last tigers at the beginning is so sad.
I don't know whether to call this a cryptid as they once existed, but I truly believe this is the most likely one to be found. Hard to watch the ending though. But glad I came across it.

I'm relatively new to this subreddit, and to be honest I recently stopped one-bagging. But I traveled through a lot of LATAM with just a personal item over the last few years, so was always looking at ways I could save space/
I wear cologne anytime I go out for dinnenightlife at home, but my go-to bottle is pretty bulky and also quite heavy as it has a magnetic snap top. It was able to be carried on planes in a carry-on, but took up a lot of space/weight in my dopp kit.
Few years back I discovered MicroPerfumes. Essentially they sell samples as well as rebottled travel size spray bottles (they don't sell 1st party travel sizes of my favorite cologne).
You can get sample vials of top tier colognes/perfumes in the $5-$10 range as well as small travel sized spray bottles in the $15-$30 range.
I don't overdo it on the sprays, so my $20 bottle lasted me like 6-7 months of combined travel.
Also a great resource to get some samples and try out different fragrances before buying an entire bottle of something.

2023.03.21 19:20 Downtown-Command-295 Shield Block Rules Weird?
Just to make sure I have the basics right: When you Shield Block, you reduce the incoming damage by the shield's hardness, then the remainder is dealt, in full, to both the shield and the weilder. So, 20 damage with a 5 hardness shield means both shield and shield-user take 15 damage. If this is incorrect, ignore me. :)
I hadn't thought about it until someone brought it up at my last game, but from a certain angle, this means the attacker's damage is being almost doubled, and with the damage output most monsters seem to have, the shields are practically made of cardboard. This just seems ... wrong on some level.
Am I the only one who feels this way? Is this maybe just a low-level thing with normal shields, and they get better later? How much would it screw things up (because I'm sure it will) to split the damage between the shield and wielder?

Last time my hair was colored was at a salon in August. It was just a dark brown that matched my roots and covered up some turquoise streaks.
Today I used Garnier Olia Darkest Brown permanent color. My hair looks the same. I thought it would at least look a little darker.
What are my possible next steps? Use a darker color in a few days? I prefer to not go to a salon because of $ (which is why I opted for box dye). Help! 🥲

I am creeping towards the end of my 5 years on a spouse visa FLR M (I am Canadian, I married a Scottish person).
My current Visa expires 11/09/23 so I will need to submit my application for my ILR around the middle of August. I am lucky in that both myself and my spouse are teachers so we are comfortably within the financial requirements. No dependants. Permanent jobs. We own a house.
I am thinking way ahead because I know how stressful the application process can be and I don't want to be panicking last minute to gather supporting documents. This will be my 5th via (student, youth mobility, FLR M pt 1 and FLR M pt 2) so I am fairly familiar with the process but as this is my final one I am wanting it to be smooth sailing. Due to the fact that ILR takes about 6 months to process, we also plan on paying the additional fee to fast track it.
What I am looking for is:
Is anyone happy to share their list of supporting documents?
Is there anything you would have done earlier or made sure you included?
Did you find the application process better, worse or the same as FLR M?

I found a few resources, and on each animal, I found a few forms related to each style. So, I wanted to shared them with you. I think it might inspire some cool conversation or trainning sessions. here is what I found out:

2023.03.21 19:19 grotesquesque I'm expected to do the senior role tasks, but I was never actually formally promoted into the senior role. How should I approach this with my manager?
I'm growing really frustrated in my current role. I work in tech support and I have been performing outstandingly for two years now. But while the senior role was introduced as something imminent at the end of last year, it still hasn't happened, and I am supposed to be training a team of really incompetent teammates who really have no business working in support roles. Meanwhile, my "team lead" is just offloading all communications with her own team my way, and since she established it with the team that they should reach out to me whenever they get stuck, they are happily offloading their work my way, even when they absolutely should be able to handle it themselves.
So I am expected to train the team, help them, I work on a bunch of external projects as well, and my "team lead" is just coasting along. I also expressed an interest in moving to the product management team, but she is trying to delay if not entirely stop this, knowing that the quality of her team will plummet without me.
Short of finding a new job, how should I navigate this? I feel my frustration growing with each passing day and I am dreading every new work day, which is very much unlike me. I need to change something and soon, but I'm having a hard time navigating this situation. Therefore, I would appreciate any advice from more seasoned professionals than me.

So like 2 months ago I (level 113) came back after a year of a hayday break. And I had 4 machines over 1 million coins to get. I just unlocked the Yoghurt machine today which is the 3rd of the machines I needed to get.
I have been striving for so long selling everything I was producing in the roadside shop etc. I also used the 2x coins farm visitor event to get a significant amount of coins. But now after buying a machine I’m down to only 17 000 coins and need to get the last machine, stew pot, at 1 150 000 coins. But I’m getting really tired of all the constant only producing and selling. I wanna get back on the competitive derby playing (320x10 master league neighbourhood)
My question is: should I continue the process and get the stew pot or will I do “fine” in derbys etc without it in the meantime?

sorry this sounds stupid now but it’s real problem of mine… i think i’ve been “traumatized” by a sandwich. last week on thursday i ate an sandwich for the first time in my life (i was scared to try them before bc i’m autistic and i don’t like all the different textures).i bought it in an bakery bc my parents suggested them to me and the first few bites were completely ok. but then it starts to get so weird. the ham that was on it had such a weird texture and it was so “oily” and disgusting at some point. i also at first didn’t notice the shredded radish on it but once i noticed i gagged. the crunchy texture of the radish and the softish texture of the bread combined made me so overwhelmed and it was so disgusting. on top of that it also started to taste like butter (i absolutely hate butter) which made throw up the sandwich. and since then i can’t stop thinking about it, always get flashbacks of it in my head and am always like send back the situation and kind of like “bite in it again” and feel the different textures of the bread and radish again. since then i also feel bad and like i need to throw up again any time i think about it (which is almost all the time). i also completly lost my appetite and rarlely eat anything. i don’t know what to do anymore please help

I was also wearing an analog altimeter working perfectly and the altitude matched in both, so i decided to jump and see if the Ares II would work, and it did, no problem at all. So i think it may be showing the jump count of the day automatically? I only did 2 jumps, so idk.
I asked some divers on the DZ using Ares II and they said it never happened to them so i wanted to ask here before contacting LB Altimeters, in case is just a configuration thing. Can't seem to find anything like that in the manual tho.

Good day. This is my first Reddit Post. I watched Suzume last week and it was amazing.
Spoiler Alert! Movie starts with little Suzume walking around in a muddy post apocalyptic world struggling to find her mother where she ends up seeing a mysterious women in white clothing.
Turns out, the mysterious women was future Suzume helping out young Suzume.
We know the "Worms" causes destruction everywhere it shows up and caused massive earthquakes! We also know that Suzume hometown was destroyed by an earthquake along with her mother.
Dark theory begins: I believe Suzume is dead and died by the earthquake. She was brought back to life by entering the door from "Ever After". Here's some reasons why I think she's dead. She can see those worms and even though Souta can see them, he mentions he cannot see the "Ever After" world on the other side of the door.
Here's where it gets darker, Suzume goes back to her old hometown and finds her picture diary. It shows her daily life until we see drawings of black pages. I believe that after the earthquake happened... Suzume didn't die instantly but was buried alive which explains why she only sees darkness for days.
After the pages of black drawing, her next drawing was about Ever After and the she found the door.
What do you guys think? Crazy right?
