Hi, I'm a software engineer who graduated fall 2021, and I've been working as a software engineer at a medical device company since last August. I'm kinda having a crisis because... I don't think I like my job. I felt motivated the first couple of months, but now it feels so difficult to get into a flow state at work (or to even want to). I chose to study computer science in college because I was excited by the idea of working with technology to design and implement websites, but I don't feel that spark at my current job.
If you've switched from a software engineering job to something else, what did you switch to and why? Or if you disliked your SWE job but switching companies helped, what changes helped you to enjoy it more?

The common perception is that it is the manifestation of Guts trauma but that doesn't totally fit. It kills for the sake of killing which isn't really Guts and it tried to get him to rape and kill Casca. Is there anything in Guts that would really want that. When it first appears the evil spirits state "The more blood which it bathes the more it thirsts. The beast has an insatiable appetited. As you kill, it thirsts. As it thirsts, you kill." Dragon Slayer does literally bathe in blood.

If it possesses Guts I think it will grant Guts it's abilities similar to how spirit possession works with magic users. The implication is that the Dragon Slayer gets stronger every time it cuts down astral creatures. I think it will give Guts the ability to become stronger the more he kills.

I wrote a letter to the FAA complaining about the relatively new noise created by NextGen. The noise (airplanes on a rail flying over my house) has been around for about a decade. Here is the response from the Federal Aviation Administration, Office of the Regional Administrator, Western-Pacific Region.
In your complaint, you stated that the aircraft were not a problem when you first moved into your home. However, the construction of the airport preceded the construction of your home, and the west downwind itself is driven off of the geometry of the runway. Your residence has been under the west instrument downwind since it was built in 1960.
The regional office is pointing out the airport was there before my house was built. That is correct. I would point out my house was there 50+ years before the FAA implemented NextGen. The FAA ignores this fact! So using the FAA arguments they have NO precedence for implementing NextGen and making my home miserable for me. My home was there before NextGen.
What a disaster NextGen is. It is making millions of people miserable.

Reasoning: I want to investigate a roblox myth and create a youtube video for the startup of my second youtube channel which will be based around roblox. Hello everyone! I’m a 37m n pleaded guilty to endangering the welfare of a minor as a third degree. my pleea was 3 flat nj state prison no registration or psl. I’m also in recovery and have been clean for the past two years since the initial charge was issued. Over the past two years I had put myself in rehab for drug addiction and completed that and stayed on intensive outpatient program for about a year. I have kept my job and also have great support from my Narcotics anonymous friends, my sons mother n family who have all writren character letters for me.I also have been seeing a therapist for the past eight months and psychiatrist. I was given a psychosexual evaluation by the state and by a therapist combined with my psi from the state have all said that I would be a good candidate for probation. I have a great attorney who knows my sentencing judge for about 30 years n has said to me that he believes that I can get a suspended sentence which would place me then on a very tight probation.
The thing about New Jersey is that it is mandated for anything over 100 images you must serve jail time, i have 250 images. My attorney has said it’s still on the low end of image evidence and believes that is why I also can get the suspended sentence. In the grand scheme of things I’ve written in my personal statement that how truly sorry I am of committing the crime that I have, but all the necessary things that I’ve done since getting charged to improve my life to be a better person, father and member of society. i guess im looking for support here since its hard to talk about this to others especially since I’ve never got in trouble in my whole life.
Maybe the one thing I’m trying to get out of this post is to see how are my chances on getting a suspended sentence, especially for someone who has gone through intense treatment and therapy in the past two years?

I'm currently being seen at an outside fertility clinic, and have had several appointments thus far. Each time I've gotten the EOB from Optum like clockwork showing that they paid the provider and that the veteran's responsibility is zero.
However, at my most recent appointment, the receptionist told me that they had a "waiver" for me to sign that states I'm responsible for any balance not covered by insurance, or the VA in this case.
I always figured that was standard procedure anyway, but the way they went about it was weird, and calling it a "waiver" implies I'm waiving something. They couldn't give any clarification on what I was waiving or why I was only now being asked to provide this. I politely declined to sign it and stated that everything is covered by the VA, and that they could call them to verify if they want. I even gave them the authorization # and contact number for my VAMCs community care rep. The lady shrugged and said I'd be billed for any balance anyway. Okay, so why'd you need the form?
Maybe I'm a bit cynical when it comes to healthcare, but to me this seems like a ploy for them to stick me with a bill and get more than what they're getting from the VA. Can any healthcare workers or people that have experienced this give some insight?

Hi, top 10-15% ish at a t6 school... Hoping to land a district court clerkship and wondering how broadly I should apply. Applied to most of CA, and some other states. Have about 45 applications total so far...

I went through elementary and middle school with a guy we'll call "John". John was always the "weird kid" in school. I'm well aware that many kids are unfairly labelled weird for being a little awkward, having uncool hobbies, not wearing trendy clothes and so on. However, this wasn't the case with John. This kid was legit WEIRD. He never showered and came to school in dirty clothes. He would do all kinds of creepy stuff in class, including staring blankly into space, chewing his lips until they bled, touching himself through his pants and drawing inappropriate pictures of the girls in the class. Those are just a few examples of his disturbing behavior. Everyone avoided him for good reasons.
My family moved to a different state in 8th grade and I never saw John again... until now. We're now in our late 20s. A few months ago I started a new job (don't want to give too many details in case someone recognizes this post). And it turns out that John also works there. He's in a different department and has worked there for about 4 years.
Now, John has obviously changed since middle school. I didn't even realize he was the same guy until I looked him up on social media. His hygiene is fine, he doesn't come off as obviously creepy, and he seems to be well-liked by his coworkers, including the women. However, I can't help being a little uncomfortable while remembering his creepy behavior in middle school. It's also relevant that this job sometimes involves interacting with vulnerable members of the community (mentally ill, disabled, etc.) I'm wondering if I should inform my coworkers and boss about his history just to be safe. But I'm not sure if I will look petty for bringing up stuff that happened in middle school. Advice?
