Hey. Here to vent and just talk about my experience and how to get over what has happened. Two days ago was my birthday and I am turning 28. I have been in almost a three year relationship with my boyfriend (living together for almost two years and shared pets) who is 37. We have been rocky since December. We have just started seeing a couples counselor and for the past three weeks have attempted to men our differences. I have been staying with my parents on the weekdays and him on the weekends (was living in a house he owned). We have been having a good time with intentional activities together and I have been trying to work on my short comings in therapy. He has been hesitant to put in effort in the relationship ship in the ways I need and I wanted to not be around him during the week because I WFH and he has been unemployed for over two years.
Well. We got into a fight on Tuesday and came close to breaking up. We didn’t break up and agreed go still see each other for my birthday on Friday (I took the day off work because he was going to plan something special). Thursday was my birthday and he texted me “happy birthday!” I called him and just acted normal and asked what we had planned. He was weird on the phone and quiet, he seemed like he didn’t really want to do something and I asked what’s up. One thing lead to another and he ended up saying that he wanted to break up because things have not been working for some time. I was so emotional and pathetically pleaded with him to get back with me. He said he wasn’t going to change his mind and said that he isn’t getting what he needs out of this relationship. I told him it is hard for me to show up in the ways he needs when he can’t do the same for me.
We spent a few hours throughout the day on the phone and ultimately the conclusion was to break up. My birthday felt like a wash and I have just been in my head and feeling like shit since. I thought we were going to be forever and it’s so painful that I felt like he took a special day away from me. I don’t feel entitled to much and usually like to do things for others, but I genuinely was looking forward to the weekend and plans I made with some friends for my birthday and now I’m just wallowing in self pity.
Anyway. I just wanted to share and let everyone know that no matter what life works out in seemingly funny and ironic ways. I’ll get through this and so will you! All we have is ourselves and when you think you know and love someone, they can still surprise you with awful and selfish behavior.
TLDR: I got dumped on my birthday over the phone by my partner of three years

My mother passed a week ago, seemingly of old age as she didn't have cancer or some disease killing her that we were aware of. Anyway she never made it to hospice but I read of some of the things people do during the dying process. This was my first clue she might die soon. She called in a panic, she had been taken from her room to the mountains, and there was a strange person next to her. I assumed she got wheeled out of her room, but no she was still in bed. We talked multiple times and since she was hallucinating, all I could tell her was that she was safe, not to worry, your safe and will be back in your room shortly. Try to relax, you are safe. I figured she come out of the hallucination at some point, be back in the room in her mind. I thought this reminds me of those hallucinations people have when they start to die that I read about. The next day she called and left a message the "the issue was resolved" which either meant she came to and realized she was in her room, or the hallucination involved resolving issues. After that she slept a lot and could not ask her about it. When she was last conscious she could barely speak, stopped eating then died. Is there any insights about these hallucinations? I was at a loss for what to do while she was elsewhere in her mind so I did what I noted above. She died 2 weeks after this event and the rehab staff indicated she was doing fine for the next week and a half. So seemed like she started dying while there were no apparent physical issues going on. Anyway, any insights into these hallucinations? She was pretty scared.

Leaving non-existence aside,
Are there cases where a life with MORE suffering is pleasurable?
For example, many modern people live materially fantastic lives compared to their ancestors: plenty of food, sex, pleasure, no disease etc. HOWEVER, there is a distinct lack of adventure, freedom and meaning for most of us.
Imagine the shitty, short but meaningful and adventurous lives of a Hunter gatherer, for example. Or imagine a Medieval monk, who’s whole life is suffering but all imbued with great meaning, or an adventurer ala Marco Polo etc etc.
There are cases where I can imagine a life of great suffering that is BETTER than my current life.
Thoughts?

For this part, I got the final Huge Materia and I went back to the Forgotten City. I would have done more for but I am stuck right now.

In terms of gameplay, nothing major happened so it can be skipped. But after completing the Shinra No.26, I went back to the Waterfall Cave and I received the Death Penalty and the Chaos Manual. From the looks of it, the Death Penalty seems to be one of, if not, the strongest weapons Vincent can have but because I do not plan to use it as doesn't grant Materia growth. I also received Bahamut ZERO.

Now for story, it had some really cool moments. For the return to Rocket Town, it really brought in some of Cid's best moments. Being in the Shinra No.26 Rocket and going into space means that Cid's dream was achieved. Then for escaping, it really brings Cid's story together. The reason why Cid failed to launch the rocket the first time all those years ago was because Shera was trying to fix an oxygen tank and launching the rocket would mean incinerating Shera. So Cid decides to abort the launch and damage the launch site in order to save Shera. So seeing that Shera was right and that the oxygen tank was in fact damaged. Overall for this mission, it was nice to see the fulfillment of Cid and Shera's character. Cid achieved his life long goal of going to space and Shera was able to be forgiven for the failure for the first space launch. Overall I liked this part of the game even though it was really short.

Now the second part of the section was the return to Cosmo Canyon and the Forgotten City. Going back to Bugenhagen's observatory of which I have mixed feelings. Initially, we find out what Aerith was actually trying to do. It seems that Aerith being half-Cetra allowed her to summon an Entity which was Holy. So Aerith's sacrifice was not in vain but the problem is that it is being stunted by Sephiroth. What I find especially sad is when talking to Cid in the Highwind, he mentions that Aerith can never experience flying on the Highwind. While all of that was sad and I think was written well, Bugenhagen is funny as F. This man just goes yoooohoooo! and when he joins the Highwind, this man can literally fly. While I do not think it takes away from the emotional moments, Bugenhagen is really funny. I also got Bahamut ZERO in this part which is wow, this game does not have one Bahamut, two Bahamut but THREE Bahamuts. Square Enix really likes Bahamut and I cannot blame them, I love Bahamut too. And Bahamut ZERO's summon is super dope too, it is a Satellite Cannon Dragon. Bahamut ZERO is my favorite summon in the game.
Now for coming back to the Forgotten City, this is where I am stuck. So Bugenhagen is the goat and flies around the city, but talking to him he talks about using a key. I went back to Bone Village and dug myself a Key to Sector 5. I do not think the Forgotten City needs the Key to Sector 5 but here I am.

That is basically what I did for this section. Overall I liked this section for the game because it does a nice job of wrapping up Cid's character and his arc. And now I must somehow find the Forgotten Key, I would normally search it up but I refuse because I do not want to. I will find out the location eventually. My top theory right now is to use the submarine but I will figure it out.

Before story time, My point is what the frick is a rebuilt title issued in error on a total loss vehicle? Does that even happen, EVER?
The car was in an accident and then deemed a total loss by an insurance company. The rebuilt title was issued, and a salvage title was issued. Then when my car dealership bought the car it was “issued in error” all of a sudden and the title was made clean again. Here’s a link to the CarFax.

I’m not sure if this is the correct subreddit to post this in, but I’m curious to see if anyone else has come across or experienced a situation similar to mine. I bought this car from Expressmotorsports in Lawrence, Massachusetts. (Yes I know the location is terrible for buying a used car, so if you wee even thinking about it, don’t)
Let me preface this by saying, I was in a really rushed, pressured situation to get into whatever vehicle I could. I was borrowing money from my family and they insisted I go through a dealership. Long story short, I bought a 2008 Honda Crv with only 120k miles on it, expecting the car to still have decent life in it despite the age. If you’ve ever owned a Honda you’ll know these cars and drive forever if properly maintained. The car even passed mechanics inspection and state inspection. The car dropped a valve and the engine was dead after only 2 months, after doing nothing but driving and overly maintaining it. When I bought the car and signed the purchase contract with the warranty, he said I could bring the car back and he would fix anything that went wrong within 30 days. After the engine blew I went to look for the warranty and it was left blank. Massachusetts lemon law requires a written 30 day warranty on a used car. I know it’s my fault for not seeing this, but isn’t it totally illegal for him to do? Has anyone had experience with this?
Also upon further inspection of the car fax, the verbiage is “rebuilt/salvage title issued in error.” “Total loss issued in error”. Also, again I take accountability for not inspecting this further, I only saw that the car had been in an accident but the title was clean. But I have no understanding of what this means, even my friend who is a car dealer says he has never seen a “rebuilt title” issued in error and is later issued as “clean”. Has anyone ever seen this verbiage and knows what could have happened, or did he just pull something extremely illegal?

I'm returning to Piano Marvel after a hiatus, my piano / keyboards / midi / DAWs / VSTs all work yet when I'm in Piano Marvel webapp (Windows 10: tried 2 computers 3 browers) whenever I press PLAY / SPACE BAR the app prompts the widget of "Select midi device".
The midi device works: I see the icon flashing, I can hear the virtual piano but still when the widget closes and I try to play again it comes the "Select midi device", the score never starts.
Is there someting new that I should be aware of? An incompatibility with some browser addon, extrnsion, some trick? It used to work on my laptop with Chrome a few years ago...

As the title suggests, I need to get rid of my stockpile of reclaimed 18650 cells. Long story very short: I am moving and cannot take these with me. All cells listed below have been reclaimed from tool batteries (high drain cells) or laptop batteries (low drain cells). For the purposes of science, I classify anything as "low-drain" if the manufacturer's intended maximum safe drain without damage is less than 5 amps. For example, a Samsung ICR18650-26C would be a low-drain device, while a Samsung INR18650-25R would be a high-drain device. Pictures!

Testing:
All of these batteries have been through at least two charge/discharge cycles and tested for resistance and heat before, during and after the charging cycles. Lastly, all cells listed here have rested at storage voltage (3.7v) for at least 3 months without voltage loss. Any cells who self-dicharged more than 0.03v were recycled. These are all good cells.

Hey, long time ago I started feeling anxiety along with all the other shitty feelings, but usually I would stop feeling anxious after a few minutes, it used to be just little spikes in anxiety and that's it, but recently that feeling of anxiety became way stronger, almost unbearable at some moments, and the duration became way longer. As recent as today I had extreme feeling of anxiety that lasted over 2 hours, I couldn't sit still, my heart felt heavy, thoughts were running through my head, breathing felt more difficult than before, there were moments when I literally just wanted to be cut open and for someone physically remove that feeling out of my chest. The only short term solution I found was to blast extremely loud music, so I couldn't even hear my thoughts. I'm not sure why I am writing all of this, maybe I'm looking for helpful suggestions, maybe I want to hear some motivational words, or maybe I just want my thoughts to be heard by someone, whatever my goal is, thank you for reading this and I hope you'll have a wonderful morning/day/evening/night.

Last year I moved into a new apartment and doing so set off a flurry of symptoms I’d never experienced for such a long duration - extremely sore throat, very scratchy throat, brain fog, and a tongue that would get SO tingly and uncomfortable. Long story short, I was diagnosed with a severe dust mite allergy and a birch allergy. At one point I was on three prescription-strength antihistamines when the allergist finally said if these antihistamines aren’t taking away your symptoms, this isn’t allergies. I went to an ENT and a neurologist. Both were at Northwestern in Chicago so we’re talking people who know their stuff and they all eventually shook their heads.
Fast forward a little over a year - I moved apartments and the sore throat is gone. I mean, vanishes. Thank god. But still every once in a while (maybe 1-2 times/week) my tongue becomes almost unbearably tingly/itchy and my throat feels scratchy. I know about Oral Allergy Syndrome but on a day like today - I woke up, drank some water, didn’t eat or drink anything other than that when my tongue started to feel awful and throat started to itch. This happens a lot - I won’t have consumed anything that could be related to the birch allergy and my tongue is on fire (side note: the ENT diagnosed me with “Burning Tongue Syndrome” and had me do a mouth wash of Tabasco sauce because Capsasin is supposed to help - it did it for two months and it didn’t help at all).
It just doesn’t seem like this is OAS. Does anyone get a bothered tongue and/or throat from a birch or dust mite allergy??? Antihistamines don’t help and these symptoms are awful.

Using Adobe Rush I merged a clip from a digitized old family video with a new clip taken on a cell phone. Both clips have different aspect ratios, and when I merge them the second clip changes it's aspect ratio to match with the first. This has the effect of making the top of the second video too short, and I can't see my brother's head. Is there a way to solve this either with Rush or a different software?

Im so fed up that my boyfriend thinks i’m making excuses, since, i don’t want to go outside in the 95 degree weather, it’s also very humid where i live, and i’ve had heat exhaustion 2 times already last summers. uh, i also fainted in the heat during my work at chick fil a.. so i been taking the outside situation super serious.. Am i in the wrong ? he thinks i’m making it up.
The symptoms i get when i go outside is dizziness, fatigue, short breathing, loss of vision. Its even when i only walk for a few minutes outside.

On May 31 I made my first Hello Box order which was supposed to arrive on Monday.
Well I don't know why but I just received a text saying they won't be able to ship my box due to a technical issue (?) and that they'll refund me and give me a credit.
I was hoping it was a fake text but after checking my Paypal, they really did refund me.
I'm shocked to see that they can cancel 3 days before the order is supposed to arrive. That's such a short notice and now I have to go grocery shopping in a hurry because I was expecting to eat my hello fresh the whole week.
My sister ordered box yesterday so I tried adding a few of my meals in her box. It's not paid for yet so we'll see tomorrow if they refund her too but damn, I'm really disappointed 😞

The train strikes allow me to live peacefully as I was recently forced out of another flat in the same building at short notice and moved into a flat which is a few metres away from several train tracks. I’ve been able to sit on my sofa with the windows open and enjoy the sunshine and pure quiet without worry. I know the train strikes inconvenience the majority of the population and the underlying reason for the strikes is awful. I feel guilty for looking forward to the occasional break from the constant noise. It’s wonderful waking up naturally at 8am because I haven’t been woken up by the first trains of the day because my ear plugs have fallen out or feeling tired all day because I can’t sleep past midnight. I will never rent or live in a place that is anywhere close to rail tracks in the future - lesson learned. Thank you for reading this silly confession.
