Is there a notable performance difference between Windows 10 and Windows 11? Is it worthwhile to downgrade versions? Does it help with bloatware? Just got the laptop and I've never used W11 before so I am concerned about Microsoft's curse where every other version is garbage. If downgrading is a good idea, is there anything that comes preinstalled that I actually need or would I be able to format to W10?

2023.06.01 04:15 CupOpen5467 Just need to rant… what a shit start to a big deal trip

My husband and I are celebrating our 20 year anniversary this year and taking a 20 year delayed honeymoon because we got married when we were young and, well, poor.
So we are heading to Italy, then the Maldives, then Phuket and Bangkok. We opted to do Main Cabin to Italy because 8 hours is meh and D1 for Bangkok home because 14 hours is a different story.
The week before departure, I realize delta has upgraded us to Comfort+, which is awesome. Except we are no longer sitting together. I ask about it and am told I will have to wait to address it. Tried when we checked in. Tried at the first airport and was told to talk to the gate agent in Detroit. We did and were told there was nothing they could do. So now we start this supposed to be trip of a lifetime in separate seats and me smushed between two assholes who didn’t know about the middle armrest rule. I’m so disappointed. Where do I send that disappointment?
Especially because we had looked at another airline home from Bangkok but I’m a delta person so decided to stay loyal. Thanks for listening.

2023.06.01 04:12 dodadle I can't decide between two colleges.

sorry the post is a bit long. I am not that fluent in english but i will try and make this post understandable. There are two colleges for me to choose from. I know some people who have been to those colleges and know what its like there. Where I am from, some colleges and school are built together with the same name, almost like its been merged. Lets call the first choice ''Choice A" and the second "Choice B"
Choice A
Pros:
1.Most of my friends and other people i know are enrolling there.
2.I have been there almost my entire life so the environment wont really be new and i will be used to the place.
Cons:
1.Lesser facilities/ eca and no sports activity conducted by the college, but the college has some courts which the students are allowed to play in but no coaching whatsoever.
2.Kind of bored of that place at this point and want to try some new place.
Choice B
Pros:
1.It is much more cleaner and well organized
2.I can actually play sports there as it has coach and more sporting events.
3.I want to try a new place and the environment and management of the place is similar to choice A but different enough where i will experience new things from what i have heard from some people who went there.
Cons:
1.No friends from day 1 and i have struggled in social settings before, although i am much more confident now i dont know how i will approach this problem and make new friends.
2.New place, no knowledge about it or how they run the place, overall new and almost overwhelming.
I also want to emphasize the fact that i dont really think its that important to have friends but i do think that having no friends wont be helpful either. Choice A has almost everything that Choice B has with the addition of my friends. Choice B could be seen as a better version of Choice A but i wont have any friends there or any other people i know so that might be a little bit awkward. College is only for a few years and i dont know if i want to spend it with people i know or spend it in a better place where i may or may not make any new friends. Choice B is 2 minutes from my home whereas Choice A is a 15 minutes walk, although i dont think it matters i cant decide between either so the distance might balance things out. It might sound like one place is better than the other but i really cant decide between them.

2023.06.01 04:12 Traditional_Air_1816 What You Americans Think When You See A Undoubtedly Black Or White Latino

Hello, im brazilian and i Never left my country, Well, we all Now that latino is seen as a race in the USA, and that most of americans dont know the difference between race, nationality and ethnicity
Americans normally think that latin america is a homogenous brown skin, straight black hair societies, even trought as a brazilian and a real latin american, this is not the True, and when the spaniards invaded the Americas, there was not native americans here, but already the latinos, and you even created an afro latino category, cause you cant look to a black latino and an african american as the same, the afro latino aways need to be a mixed lookin, light skin black person
For example, soccefootball(whatever) national teams, look at the honduran national team, the panamanian, and the ecuadorian national team, even my brazil, most of their players are black, but they arent to you?
And the argentine and uruguyan national team, where most of the players are white,
Or gisele Bundchen, she is a white, blonde and blue eyed Latina, but she is not white to you?
Is strange to me to think about it, cause its a thing in brazil that people from the south of brazil think that they are superior than the rest of brazilians cause, many people there are of german, polish, ukranian and russian ancestry
Most of us latinos are brown mixed races of europeans, africans and native americans? Yes, but still we have the black folks that surfer structural racism, the same to indigenous, and the privileged white folks

2023.06.01 04:12 Scb2121 Weird Polycom issue

We just switched voice providers and purchases all new polycom phones. We weren’t aware there was a big difference between the OBI software and the UCS and they were UCS which didn’t have as large of a feature set supported by our vendor so we upgraded the software to OBI.
We experienced the oddest issue, post upgrade the phones would not get an ip address when plugged in to the network jack at the employee desk but worked fine plugged in to the switch directly. We could move the phone to a different desk and would get an address sometimes but not others. We could unplug the patch cable and then go directly to the exact same switch port no issue.
None of the runs are extraordinarily long but thought it might be a cable issue. Where it gets weirder is that we could take a different phone and plug it in to the same wall jack with the same firmware version and it would work fine.
I am truly at a loss as to what might be causing the issue. All jacks have tested fine, all cat 6 cabling coming from Aruba 1gb Poe switches. No runs exceed 100 meters, most having issues were under 50.

2023.06.01 04:11 NoBadger1606 Separation Health Assessment Questions

Hello everyone, I am currently helping my husband fill out his Separation Health Assessment for his BDD claim, but I am a little unsure of how to answer the questions about symptoms/injuries. I don't know how much information we are expected to provide - for example one of the questions asks "During qualifying military service, have you ever experienced ear, nose, or throat trouble?" Would you answer simply with diagnosis/symptoms (ex: I have tinnitus), or are you supposed to give context (ex: I have tinnitus because I work with loud machinery)?
Another question is for the assessment/physical exam section - is it asking only for your last "annual" physical exam, or your most recent of any kind? (There is a section asking for the date of your last physical exam, and one asking for your most recent military service medical assessment/physical exam - would there be a difference between the two?)
I don't want him to fill the survey out incorrectly and cause delays in his processing. Thank you!

2023.06.01 04:11 External_Eye_7764 What’s the difference between a child going to daycare and getting sick vs. going to pre-school/kindergarten and getting sick? Do their immune systems get stronger with time?

I hear so many people argue against daycare by saying that kids get sick all the time, they bring the illness home, and you have to miss work when they are sick.
Kids are eventually going to preschool or kindergarten. What’s the point of avoiding daycare if they are eventually going to be in the same situation with school? Is it just to delay the inevitable or do kids immune systems get stronger with time?

2023.06.01 04:11 quikmusictheory Quik Music Theory

Welcome to Quik Music Theory! I started playing guitar and taking lessons almost 10 years ago. I've learned a lot over my musical career, however, some people don’t want to pay for a weekly teacher. I found that learning music theory online was often very confusing and required me to jump between countless different websites. Not only that, but most music theory books/lessons that you can buy are incredibly boring. I wanted to develop a simple and cohesive way for guitar players, or any musicians for that matter, to learn music theory from home. So Quik Music Theory was born! I make handwritten and simple guides with all the information you need to start playing and utilizing music theory concepts today. My etsy shop can be found at quikmusictheory.etsy.com

2023.06.01 04:09 Historical_Spot_4051 YA book from 2000s with a mishmash of fairy tales.

So I read this YA book sometime between 2007-2015. It was a fairly short book, that incorporated many different fairy tale myths. I remember it was about a Prince whose fathers wives kept mysteriously dying. The climax of the book reveals that on each wedding night, the king has his new bride magically turned into a goose and eats her for dinner, contributing to his longevity. After he sees his son witnessing this through the window, the king turns into a giant and chases the Prince across the clouds (a jack and the beanstalk reference). Thanks for your help!

2023.06.01 04:08 toodarkmark The Mixed Tag Was So Much Better Than the Unsanctioned Match

I didn't think the unsanctioned match between Jericho and Cole was all that bad, but it was sort of quiet. Just didn't feel like it had any good energy. This mixed tag had so much good energy, the crowd was into it, and even the Shida and the Outcasts spot worked very well.
Both Jericho and Cole just felt like they were really working well together. That spot with Baker smiling to the camera when she was about to put her finisher on Jericho was priceless. And Jericho losing made so much sense. What a difference 3 days can make.
Makes me think Jericho should have cheated to win at the PPV, but I think they want Cole to go higher on the card, so they didnt want him taking the pin.

2023.06.01 04:08 BreadButterRunner Apparently Sepultura is the key to maintaining focus

I have a very hard time with audio processing, to the point that any noise that sticks out will scramble my thoughts if I’m not at the peak of my meds for the day. That is until I looked up Sepultura on Spotify. I had friends all the way back in the 1990s who like them but it’s not a genre I’m generally drawn to so never actually gave them a go myself until a few weeks ago. Ho. Ly. Shit. I can block anything out if I play them with my noise cancelling earbuds. They work better than the recorded cafe sounds I usually use. Something about the way the sound is arranged must have some fundamental similarities. I suspect it’s the complex layering with pitch variations mostly staying within a certain low to mid range. Most music makes focus absolutely impossible, even “white noise” and nature sounds can make things pretty difficult unless it has a strong overlay of rain.
I definitely didn’t see that one coming. All I was trying to do was procrastinate. I guess I’d better look up more thrash metal. I don’t listen to it for recreation, but boy does it help in this department.

Brynden Blackwood - Timeline
181 A.C. Brynden is the secondborn son of Benjicot Blackwood and _____ (pending). He is barely a year younger than Tytos, the heir's heir, and two share such a likeness from childhood that they are constantly mistaken for twins.
184 A.C. Bethany Blackwood, Brynden's aunt on his father's side, wed Prince Maelor Targaryen. Brynden attended the totally-not-king-approved ceremony as a child and has no recollection at all of the event, though even then, he sensed it was a sign of changing tides for his family. This prestigious marriage opened many doors, and many more friendships, with the elites of the kingdom, particularly for the nephews and nieces of the queen, who would come to hold various positions around the court—playmates, cupbearers, ladies in waiting, clerks, and normal, everyday acquaintances to the most powerful people in the realm.
185 A.C. The brothers Tytos and Brynden picked up their first playswords, sparking the boys' interest in martial pursuits. Many years later, their youngest uncle Roderik would gradually teach the boys how to fight with the sword and how to ride on horseback. Oftentimes Uncle Roose would offer his own expertise.
186 A.C. Lord Hoster Blackwood succumbed to lung sickness barely a year after witnessing the birth of Prince Daeron, his first grandchild by Queen Bethany. He died believing his grandson would one day sit the Iron Throne. Brynden's father officially became Lord of Raventree Hall. One of his first acts was to support his brother in law, Prince Maelor, in the conflict in Dorne. He sent his own brothers, Roose, Samwell, and Roderik, to assist with the fighting. Samwell was killed in the campaign.
187 A.C. Shortly after Brynden's uncle was crowned King Maelor II Targaryen, Lord Blackwood acquired a position on the small council as Master of Whisperers. It was a step up from the Riverrun title that Benjicot and Lothar Bracken had fruitlessly quarreled over for nearly a decade.
193-197 A.C. By twelve, the brothers Tytos and Brynden have become skilled with the sword. Tytos would strive to become a master, while Brynden found his attentions drifting to contests of skill. Already a talented duelist, he set his sights on the unfamiliar polearm, and horse—skills he could employ together to eke out surprising performances on the field. While Tytos dreamed of lordship, Brynden wanted nothing more than to drink in the thrill of the tourney ground, particularly in the melee and jousting arenas. In 196 AC, their cousin Prince Daeron died in a tragic accident.
198 A.C. Tytos the Heir wed the beauty Melantha Vypren against the knowledge and wishes of his father. Lord Blackwood, with the influence of his queen sister, arranges a betrothal with the heir of the Vale, Jeyne Arryn, in a bid for power. Though Brynden was disinterested in a match so far from home--both King's Landing and Raventree Hall--he reluctantly agreed, so long as his wife-to-be did not turn her nose up at his love for the duel. He accepted the counsel of his betters and began writing to his betrothed.
202 A.C. The pair exchanged letters for four years and developed an unexpected friendship and bond, so much so that Lady Jeyne agreed to meet him in Raventree Hall, an event that had catastrophic consequences and tragically led to her death in the mountains of the Vale. In the same year, Tytos the Heir was killed at the Pennytree Ford by a hostile scouting party led by the murderer, Raymund Bracken. The Blackwood party would have been decimated if not for the presence of their uncles, Roose and Roderik Blackwood, who were dealt the unenviable position of carrying their nephew's bloodied body home.
Rumors circulate regarding a thousand-gold bounty on Raymund Bracken's head--or five hundred for each of his grown children. This "rumor" continues today, but extends to any Bracken scion.
204 A.C. Queen Bethany Blackwood dies from an extended battle with a coughing sickness, following years marked with numerous miscarriages and mysterious ailments.
205 A.C. At a Maidenpool Tourney celebrating the birth of Lord Mooton's granddaughter, Sabitha Mooton, hostilities reach a boiling point. Failing to rig a match between Brynden and Raymund Bracken in the joust, the Blackwoods Roose and Roderik take matters into their own hands. They pay off fighters in the melee and orchestrate a two-on-one duel against the man's nephew, Harry Bracken, heir of Stonehedge. The lad puts up an admirable fight but there is no contest as the brothers all but butcher him for all to see. Even before it was determined the Bracken was dead, the Blackwood contingent fled Maidenpool for home, and began raising banners and allies both. Bracken did the same with fervor, and before long, thousands of men were mobilizing for war.
Lady Alyssa Tully ordered both lords to stand down--an order that was met with flat refusal. The Crown was pulled in, and King Maelor dispatched his Hand of the King to put an end to hostilities... in Blackwood's favor.
207 A.C. Brynden remains a perpetual bachelor, refusing orders to marry and ignoring threats of disinheritance. He continues his ill fated romancing and foolish carousing, much to the chagrin of his father.
---
Lord Benjicot Blackwood - Timeline ( Brynden's section covers the more recent Blackwood lore)
158 A.C. Benjicot is born to Lord Hoster Blackwood and Zia Lothston. He is the first of six. He receives tutelage and training customary for an heir, as well as a follower of The Old Gods.
160-164 A.C. His formative years were spent in winter, a time when he was often sickly. Where he failed in physical studies, he excelled in those of the mind. His mother encouraged these lessons, and over time, glimpses of his true calling manifested in the smallest of ways. He had a keen memory, almost photographic, if one judged by the journals of a boy who was fond of note taking and drawing. Over time, hundreds of books contained observations from his people watching; accounts of conversations that took place and speculation behind the purpose and meaning behind each meeting; sketches of even the most innocuous details, such as the pieces of jewelry one wore and around whom, or the peculiar smile one gave a dancing partner they should not have known well.
When he could not be physically present, he would command servants or bribe convenient witnesses to spy on his victims and report back with their findings. Over the course of many months, many years, he began to see patterns in behavior. Strange patterns that seemingly went unnoticed by the masses--details that hinted at secrets and many a backdoor dealing.
178 A.C. By the time he reached adulthood, he had obtained a mind for intrigue, as well as a method to acquire resources for his information gathering. He was wed to _____ (still pending).
180 A.C. Benjicot's first child, Tytos, is born.
181 A.C. Brynden is born, a striking copy to Tytos.
183 A.C. A third son, Quentyn, is born. Unlike his older brothers, Quentyn proves to be average in every regard except for his sharp mind, though in a different manner than Benjicot's. Quentyn is a leader, a logistician, capable of managing resources and moving pieces.
186 A.C. Following the death of Lord Hoster, Benjicot rose to lordship and simultaneously accepted the position of Master of Whisperers in Maelor II's court. He leaves command of Raventree Hall to his oldest brother, Roose Blackwood, though the power would eventually pass to Benjicot's son Quentyn.
187 A.C. After a spell of infertility, the couple welcomes their first daughter, Shiera, and her twin, Tristifer. Shiera is a difficult, needy child, traits that carry to adulthood. She has a striking resemblance to her aunt, Queen Bethany, which grants her an aura of regality. Tristifer, on the other hand, is a comely and mild mannered child, happy to go along with his older siblings' whims.
189 A.C. Lady Blackwood gives birth before passing to childbed fever. The girl is named Alys, who develops into a malleable and curious child--one accustomed to living in another's shadow and without the guidance of a mother. Like her father, Alys is observant, an artist and pupil of the world. Like her sister Shiera, she becomes a steadfast lady-in-waiting to Queen Bethany.
196 A.C. Prince Daeron Targaryen, Benjicot's nephew, dies in an accident. Shortly after, Bethany miscarries. It is not the first and many follow, each tragedy chipping away at the pillar of influence set in place by Benjicot.
201 A.C. Benjicot is displeased but not surprised when Maelor names Aegon his heir, rather than his niece, Aerea.
202 A.C. Following his son's murder, Benjicot puts bounties on Bracken heads, particularly those belonging to Raymund Bracken and his children. He removes Tytos' daughter, Betha, from the line of succession, much to the dismay of Tytos' widow.
204 A.C. Benjicot is with Maelor when news comes of Bethany's passing. He becomes a shoulder to lean on for his no-longer-goodbrother, and the friendship they had continues to grow.
205 A.C. Benjicot receives news of Maidenpool from his son, Quentyn. He is elated to hear of the Bracken's death. An eye for an eye, an heir for an heir. He sends warning to Raventree that the Hand of the King is coming.
206 A.C. Maelor confides in Benjicot his plans to remarry, and Benjicot keeps the secret, but begins making moves to cement his steadily waning power. He attempts to force Brynden into a marriage. Threats go nowhere and he resorts to arranging matches for his daughters, who he had hoped to marry to influential figures in the realm.

Well, part 4 is where I create daytime versions of night photos. It is worth saying that one of the important points in the night location is the trees, as they can help us understand the distance between the coasts and dimensions.
Also, I have plan to make a panorama from daytime photos, I think this will help a lot to understand the night location better. Although on the other hand, the vegetation looks a little different, but nevertheless, we can imagine that this place has changed after a few days/years.
