2023.06.03 23:31 D09913 I keep getting denied despite having no missed credit card payments for ~4 years and a 750 credit score

I’ve been applying for an Apple Card periodically over the past few months, but I keep getting rejected for some reason.
I have had a credit card that I use to pay all of my recurring purchases (~$250/mo) for close to 4 years now. I’ve never missed a payment and have a 780 credit score. I don’t understand why I keep getting denied.
Multiple Apple Store employees have told me that they were approved instantly with lower credit card balances & worse credit scores.
I’m told that I was denied because - My payment history on your accounts is too low - My payment on your revolving account(s) is too low - My TransUnion credit report doesn't have enough information about your installment trade(s) history
What does this mean? Thanks for the help!

2023.06.03 23:18 Akki_MH3U How long does it take to reach HR 999 in solo?

How long does it take to reach HR 999 in solo?
Are you playing alone without friends and you are wondering how long does it take to reach HR 999 and also what's the fastest way to do it? Here you can find a quick guide to give you an idea on how long your way to HR 999 will be.
Contrary to popular belief, HR 999 is not that hard/long to reach in MH3U. This game is certainly not the fastest MH game to rank up (if you exclude the famous method 4pt Arken which today is almost impossible to do it without friends specially because there are not a lot of lobbies online) but at the same time with the right strategy you can easily get the maximum Hunter Rank without a lot of effort. I'm gonna explain below the fastest strategy to reach HR 999 in solo.
First of all, in order to start this strategy you have to reach HR 8 and build 2 basic sets.
The first set is for Alatreon GS and it requires the following skills: Rock steady, Focus, Critical Draw and Weakness exploit. You can easily build this set with very bad charms too you just need a weakness exploit+5 for example (which is very easy to get in the game unless you got a cursed table).
The second set is for Grongigas Hammer and it requires: Rock Steady/Earplugs, Awaken, Handicraft+1 and Weakness exploit. Also this set is easy to get with very basic charms. If you can't build it with all the four skills, you can just remove weakness exploit and keep ranking up till you get the right charm to add this fourth skill.
At this point, counting all the key quests, the end game (specially farming 3/4 g rank alatreon for the Greatsword) and building the 2 sets above, you are gonna be around 100 hours of game time.
Now, the strategy begins. It's very simple and it consists in doing continuously the same 2 adv quests till you get HR 999. The first adv quest is called Pack Mentality (3 Barioths HR6) and the second adv quest is Rathalos Summit (3 Rathalos HR7). These are the fastest adv quests to do solo specially if you look at the HP of their monsters which are very low. With the first set (Alatreon GS) you are gonna do the Rathalos quest meanwhile with the Grongigas Hammer set the Barioths one.
These quests both give you 4410 Hunter Rank points. With Felyne Exchanger 6615 HR points. All you have to do now is trying to get Felyne Exchanger as much as you can and everytime you eat at the canteen before going to hunt. Felyne Exchanger increases the HR points and it randomly appears in the food combinations.
With that being said, let's say you can't get Felyne Exchanger everytime so it's kinda a 50/50. One quest without it and one quest with it. So 4410 + 6615 = 11025 : 2 = 5512 HR as average Hunter rank points per quest.
To reach HR 999 you need in total 9.800.000 HR points. 9.800.000 : 5512 = 1778 quests to reach the maximum Hunter rank. Let's say you do these quests 10 times a day (they just requires 10 minutes or even less with the sets I wrote above). In around 1 hour and 30 minutes per day you do 10 times those adv quests. 5512 x 10 quests = 55120 HR points per day. Indeed, 9.800.000 : 55120 = 178 days where you play maximum 1 hour and 30 minutes.
178 days x 90 minutes of gaming = 16020 minutes in total. 16020 : 60 = 267 hours of game time.
So at the end 100 hours at the beginning to reach HR 8 and build those sets + 267 hours to rank up till HR 999 for a total of 367 hours to reach the highest hunter rank in the game.
If you are a completionist let's add other 100 hours to get all the guild card awards.
In total 467 hours to get your first HR 999 in solo 😊

2023.06.03 23:17 Crafty_Ad1888 Full Card List and Index

Hello all, I was unable to find many resources at all to help with the looking up of card and easy searching of cards with certain key words or costs so I went ahead and took what resources were available and put the together in once place as well as adding card info and tags. The original spreadsheet I used as a starting point was apparently posted to the discord by a user named Brandon and was later shared in an earlier post on this reddit. All card images are pulled directly from the fan-made table top simulator mod. Thanks to the creators of the mod and to Brandon for creating the original spreadsheet. I hope this resource is as useful to you grotto beasts fans as it is to me for deck building and indexing. Please feel free to share and post this anywhere you like.

2023.06.03 23:10 Arfreezy_LoL Graves vs Nocturne/Olaf Matchup Guide By A Grandmaster Graves

Hello,
I'm a GM jungle main and both Graves and Nocturne are some of my most played junglers of all time.
Here are my 3 tips for Graves players to focus on in the Nocturne matchup (these also apply to the Olaf matchup since it is very similar):
Video Link For The Visual Learners: https://youtu.be/a7Isrkq-YDc
Tip #1: Abuse Wall Hops
Tip #2: Opt Into Mobility Options
Tip #3: Abuse Jungle Tracking
The video link above has example clips that are self edited, ad-free, and hopefully, highly informative, but I can understand if people prefer a quick text guide over a random YT channel.
My goal is to make higher level jungle concepts easier to understand because it took me thousands of games before I began to truly play the game 'properly' because there aren't many guides targeted for high level junglers such as Diamond players to take their game to the next level.
Thanks for reading my guide, and any feedback or questions are welcome.

Old Film Stock (~1999) Worth Shooting / Developing?
Hello,
I recently bought a bulk film loader online and it came with a batch of re-loadable Kalt metal cassettes.
In the bag of cassettes were 3 cassettes that seems full (by weight) w/o a leader. I'm guessing these have been exposed. And 4 rolls that have a leader (although one is torn), and these I'm guessing haven't been exposed. Notes on the cassettes mention Tri-X, Plus-X and Tech-Pan.
The bulk loader box mentions T-Max 100 with a date of 5/31/99. (Although, I can't be certain that the cassettes with film were originally used or loaded with the bulk loader. For the most part, the cassettes with film are different style than batch of Kalt metal cassettes. They might have just been thrown in at some point by someone or the online seller, etc.)
I'm ramping up to do some B&W processing at home. Plan on starting off with Xtol as my developer. (I've processed B&W film at home before 25 years ago and have been watching a bunch of YouTube videos, so some experience/knowledge but rusty. I'll shoot/develop a few rolls of fresh film first to make sure things are working as expected.)
But I'm curious if folks think these cassettes are worth shooting and/or processing and how would you go about doing so (iso, dev times, etc.)?
I was thinking of perhaps experimenting with developing a few unexposed inches from one of the cassettes with a leader to see if I could get good development of the film markers and verify the film stock, etc.

This pic has been white balanced/exposed off the grey card and used a custom x-rite color profile. So,viewing monitor variances aside, hopefully this is somewhat decent portrayal of the film stock colors.

2023.06.03 23:06 HarryPothead81 Trying to deal with these emotions

I posted a few days ago, my estranged wife and I have been married for 4.5 years together almost 6, this was 6 years of gaslighting, love bombing, all the things...
3 months ago we had an argument and I told her to leave, I couldn't take feeling like I was always the bad guy, always wrong. We decided to live apart for a while we work on ourselves but still hung out, she'd ghost me, not reply to texts, ignore my calls, until she needed someone then oh how wonderful I was. The whole time I was under the impression that we were together still, couple of nights ago this blew wide open.
She'd drop off calls with me to go talk to her friends, and if I told her that made me feel unwanted and hurt she'd tell me I don't want her to have friends, she wanted a social life. I NEVER said she couldn't have friends, just that hello! We are married, we are financially tied to each other please don't blow me off.. I'd tell her that I was scared she didn't love me anymore, she was going to leave me because now she had new friends, I was being replaced. She'd swear up down and center that it wasn't true, used that I was having anxiety issues and again, I was trying to say she couldn't have friends. Again, not my point, I just needed reassurance.
Last week we got into a huge argument and things were said between us that can't be unsaid, she ghosted me again until Wednesday when she called me all in a panic that she didn't have gas, or money for gas and her daughter ( my step daughter not my bio child) was in the car, it was about 80 degrees. I couldn't just let this child sit around in a car. So I caved, I went and bought her gas, we spent the day together she was holding my hand leaning her head on my shoulder. I interacted with her daughter all day. End of the day she hugs me and I'm crying cause I knew it was hit or miss when she'd talk to me again. She tells me she's not going anywhere that we were meant to be. I went in my home thinking that we were good and for the first time in a while didn't cry myself to sleep.
Then Thursday she texts me worried about the phone bill, I told her I'd pay my half of it, and that would be enough to keep our phones on, as who can live in 2023 without a phone? I shit you not as soon as I paid she ghosted me finally calls me hours later talks for a while, says she needs to get daughter to bed she'll call me back. Hours go by, no call back, I call her and she acts all surprised that I did, I told her she said she'd call me back she claims this didn't happen. I ask her why she's playing games with me, why tell me we were meant to be and then ghost me, why show me affection then act like I'm invisible. She tells me she didn't say that, then tries to say she was showing me affection cause she could tell I needed it. She had finally come clean and told me that she hadn't been staying with her father and stepmother but was staying with her friend. I ask her if she has feelings for this person. She tells me she does that we can be friends but the romantic part is over. This person strung me along for 3 months thinking we were going to be together and now has me blocked. Her crap is in my apartment, I have the spare key to her car, hell I have her social security card! Bills that are in her name, not mine, thank God. But bills that aren't paid, belongings of her daughter. And she has me blocked. I just want this narc nightmare to be over. She has me all kinds of messed up right now, I'm crying constantly, I'm confused I feel like I must be crazy, and I feel really really stupid for putting up with this for 6 years.for tying my life to maybe the worst human I have ever met.
Moral of the story if your gut tells you something is wrong, don't listen to someone trying to tell you that it's in your head.
TLDR married 4.5 years to a narc, whose final betrayal was leading me on while playing house with someone else.

2023.06.03 23:02 Anna2762 Investing in Crypto: Exploring the Potential and Risks of Digital Assets

I’m a person who is passionate about cryptocurrency investing and recently started exploring this area of opportunity and challenge. I would like to share some important things and some advice about investing in crypto here.
Understand crypto: It is crucial to understand the basic concepts of crypto before you start investing. A crypto currency is a digital asset that uses cryptography for secure transactions and asset management. Common crypto include bitcoin, ethereum, litecoin, etc. Understanding the characteristics, technical background and potential uses of each crypto is the basis for informed investment decisions.
Research project fundamentals: When choosing a crypto to invest in, it is important to not only focus on its price fluctuations, but also to research the fundamentals of the project. This includes team background, technological innovation, market demand, and partnerships with the real world. Understanding the project's viability and growth prospects will help you make a more informed investment decision.
Diversify risk: The crypto market is highly volatile, so it is crucial to diversify your investment risk. Instead of putting all your money into a single crypto, allocate it to different projects and assets. This way even if one project does not perform well, the others can still balance your portfolio.
Stick to long-term investments: The crypto market is full of short-term volatility and market noise, but remember that investing in crypto is a long-term strategy. While the market may experience temporary volatility, some cryptocurrencies show great growth potential in the long term. Continuously following the development of projects and holding crypto with potential may lead to long-term rewards.
Maintain an awareness of risk management: While the cryptomarket has great potential, it also comes with risks. Crypto have high price volatility, and issues such as market manipulation and security breaches exist. Understanding the risks and taking appropriate risk management measures, such as setting stop-loss levels and using cold storage wallets, are key to protecting your investments.
Keep learning and following up: The crypto space is constantly evolving and changing, so it is crucial to keep learning and following up on industry developments. Participating in the crypto community, reading relevant news and research reports, and sharing your experiences with other investors can help you better understand market trends and opportunities.
The crypto market is full of opportunities, but also comes with risks. I wish you all success in this field! I hope you have better advice to share!

2023.06.03 22:48 PostReplyKarmaRepeat Defending the Draft: Detroit Lions

HOW WE GOT HERE:
Brad Holmes is a wizard. What he has done as the Detroit GM in just 3 years has been a playoff push away from being quite remarkable, especially considering the context of succeeding prior general manager Bob Quinn which ended in typical Lions losing fashion. Brad Holmes would immediately come out swinging and first transaction as general manager was trading longtime franchise quarterback Matthew Stafford to the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for two first round picks, a third round pick, and quarterback Jared Goff. At the time, it was bittersweet for fans, as Stafford was the practically the lone bright spot in the last decade (outside of Megatron), but the haul they got in return was at least something. Stafford was injured and already likely leaving to chase a Super Bowl and Detroit was going into full rebuild mode so Detroit fans were just happy with what they could get. Brad ended up hiring a one time Head Coach, Dan Campbell. A pick made purely on the potential he would be able to change the culture with his grind it out, Football attitude Campbell was known for. All in all, it was business as usual for Detroit as they begin yet another rebuild....

Oh parity in sports.... You never cease to amaze us....
Somehow and someway, In Holmes' first draft, Penei Sewell falls to Detroit at #7 and the Lions draft room goes bananas on camera! At the time we did not know it, but Detroit just landed their future Pro Bowl leader in the trenches. In round 4, the Lions scoop a literal Sun God in Amon-Ra St. Brown. Little did we all know the impact both of these players would have today. Both players are arguably top 10 in their position.
Fast forward to 2022 and the Lions are coming off one of the most promising 3-13-1 seasons that you could ever ask for. The team and coaches have bought in to Dan Campbell's grind it out style of Football. The culture seemed to finally be changing and it felt like Jared Goff turning into a solid Stafford replacement, despite being considered a throw on by most in the Stafford trade.
The 2022 draft Brad Holmes' statement to the NFL. It does not matter where you take guys. If you know how to evaluate talent, you go for YOUR guys and you can be successful. Holmes was able to draft Aiden Aiden Hutchinson at #2 (some say he should have been #1), Jameson Williams (best receiver in the draft at 12 via trade), Kerby Joseph (who picked off Aaron Rodgers THREE TIMES IN ONE GAME!), and drafted James Houston and Malcolm Rodriguez in the 6th round. Both players are looking like future defensive stars. Dare I say the best 6th round success since the Pats drafted TB12? Don't @ me lol
The Lions followed up the draft with a MUCH improved 2022, landing a 9-8 winning record and going 8-2 in their final 10 games. Jared Goff is looking like the guy who took the Rams to the Superbowl, every position has young talent and this upcoming 2023 draft is looking like it could seriously push the Lions into serious playoff contention if the cards are played correctly.

Round 1: No. 12 (from CLE through HOU and ARI) – Jahmyr Gibbs, RB, Alabama
Flashback! Remember that Stafford trade where they got got the Rams draft pick? You know that pick that was supposed to be in the upper 20s because LA is so good and are coming off winning a Super Bowl? Yea, well they sucked.... Somehow they sucked so bad that that pick turned into the number 6th overall pick.
Odds makers had the Lions grabbing Devon Witherspoon as their secondary was a big need. However when Seattle took him at 5, who knew what would follow? Well, the last thing fans expected.... The Lions ended up passing on Tyree Wilson, Jalen Carter, AND Bijan Robinson by trading down to 12 to take Alabama running back, Jahmyr Gibbs. Hindsight is 2020, but reports now show the Lions wanted Jahmyr over Bijan, which means Holmes and co. got THEIR guy.

Immediately fans realized the inevitable. Fan favorite and oft injured running back, DeAndre Swift, was going to be cut or traded. Almost immediately they traded D'Andre Swift and a 7th round pick for the Saints' 2025 fourth-round pick and a 2023 7th round pick.

This pick is exactly why you and I are sitting on the couch and Brad Holmes gets paid the big bucks. "HoW cAn YoU dRaFt a RuNnInG BaCk ThAt hIgH". Well, the dude is a straight up baller. If I asked you who led Alabama in receiving last year you would probably say some 5 star Wide Receiver. It was Gibbs. Gibbs is being compared Alvin Kamara in the way he can run and catch. He was listed as running a 4.36 at the combine. Gibbs transferred to Alabama last season after spending the first two seasons of his career at Georgia Tech. He carried the ball 151 times for the Crimson Tide in 2022, averaging 6.1 yards per carry and scoring seven touchdowns. He also caught 44 passes for 444 yards and three catching scores. With the departure of Swift and the newly acquired bowling ball back in Montgomery, Gibbs is going to be an immediate impact as a "weapon" and less of a conventional running back. The thunder and lightning combo the Lions will have will be fun to watch behind their top 5 O Line.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________

Round 1: No. 18 – Jack Campbell, LB, Iowa
"HoW cAn YoU dRaFt a RuNnInG BaCk ThAt hIgH" made sense with the Gibbs pick, but drafting a Linebacker at 18 with other glaring needs like lineman and secondary left Lions fans a bit puzzled by this pick. It hurt a little less when you remember this was their 2nd pick in the first round. Also, many people had Jack Campbell on their board for later in the draft so in terms of liking a guy for who they are, very few people are against this pick. But like I said before, Brad Holmes and Dan Campbell go after guys they have faith in. Until they screw up, fans cant complain too much!
But who is this guy and what makes him so good? Well if you care about RAS or "Relative Athletic Score" Jack is outstanding. He scored a 9.98 RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 6 out of 2600 LB from 1987 to 2023. He possesses rare athleticism for being 6-5 and that allows him to be exceptional in coverage. PFF rated him as the highest coverage grade since 2018 Devin White at LSU. He also has great leadership skills as he was Iowa's team captain and won Big10 Defensive Player of the year.
Jack Campbell is going to join a much improving linebacking core that is led by team captain Alex Anzalone and 2nd year stars Malcolm Rodriguez and James Houston. The Lions will likely play him on the outside because off his athleticism but I am certain he will be moved all around the field.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________

Round 2: No. 34 (from ARI) – Sam LaPorta, TE, Iowa
This is getting a bit out of hand for the Lions fans that appreciate positional value when you draft. Clearly Holmes has totally thrown conventional wisdom out of the window. However, tight end IS a need. Of all of the positional units Tight End is probably the weakest. In 2022 the Lions trotted Brock Wright, James Mitchell, and Shane Zylstra....WHOOOO?!?! Exactly...they needed help. Outside of when they took him, most pundits are pretty happy about this pick. Not only did the Lions get their second Iowa captain, but Sam might have landed the best tight end in the entire class.

With LaPorta, the Lions get a player that can do a variety of things. He can play in the slot, in-line or even out wide. This is EXTRA important when you remember that Jameson Williams is suspended for 6 games due to gambling. During his career at Iowa, he had 513 snaps in-line and 304 snaps out of the slot (per PFF). It really wouldn’t be surprising if LaPorta walks into Detroit and earns the starting tight end spot. He has the talent to do it and by being the 34th overall pick, there is going to be some high expectations for him.

________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Round 2: No. 45 (from DET) – Brian Branch, S, Alabama
For the first time all draft it felt like a player fell to Detroit and they werent reaching for their guy (for better or worse). At 45, the Lions were already drafting their 4th player and wasnt even the end of the 2nd round. Scouts said that Branch was one of the safest picks in the draft due to his lack of a jarring weakness. Branch is siad to have extremely high football IQ which led him to play all around the defense for the Crimson Tide. Branch has primarily handled nickel coverage, but has the range and instincts for single-high or split safety looks. He’s quick, fast and strong with the ability to match up with shifty slots, bigger possession receivers and pass-catching tight ends. Branch is also tough and gritty which makes himu a perfec fit for this Lions team. He has a nose for the ball and is capable of making game-changing plays. He had two interceptions and two forced fumbles during his freshman season at Bama.
Branch made headlines on draft day to be the only guy to stay into day 2 in the greenroom as he was projected to go in the first round. I think that shows how much he cares about this opportunity and has his heart in it.
Also, Branch as a great opportunity to learn from newly acquired Safety, Chauncy Gardner-Johnson who is one of the best young safeties in the league.

________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Round 3: No. 68 (from DEN) – Hendon Hooker, QB, Tennessee
You ever feeling a little uncomfortable and then you let out a massive fart and all of your uneasiness washes away? Yea, well thats the feeling Lions fans got when they landed Hendon Hooker with the 68th pick. QB wasnt a terrible need, but once we got him, a sense of relief was felt across the fanbase. When the Lions ended up getting Goff in the Stafford trade, it was sort of unsaid that Goff was just the bridge before they draft a QB of the future. However Goff has played way better than expectations and less and less fans are calling for a replacment. So, instead of using one of their first round picks on a QB, they waited and got a guy with first round updside! Now, they are in a much more confortable position at QB with a very solid back up.
The Lions used the 68th pick in order to take the former Tennessee quarterback. The pick came just before the Rams and Raiders were scheduled to pick and been teams have been seen as possible landing spots for a quarterback in this year’s draft. Hooker is recovering from a torn ACL, but his doctor recently informed teams that he is expected to be ready to go by the first week of the regular season. With Jared Goff in place as the starter in Detroit, there won’t be any need for Hooker to rush back for what will likely be a redshirt season if all goes according to plan in Detroit.
This pick was safe, exciting, and sets the Lions up with a solid back up QB. The first time that they can say that since they had Shaun Hill.
________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Round 3: No. 96 (from ARI) – Brodric Martin, DT, Western Kentucky

Before the draft, a need that was discussed as a hole in the Lions defense was interior line. They got their big boy in the middle with nose tackle, Brodric Martin. After starting his career at North Alabama, Martin transferred to Western Kentucky to play his final two seasons at the FBS level. Since 2021, Martin has played in 26 total games, and has managed to contribute 62 total tackles to the Western Kentucky cause. He’s piled up six tackles for-loss as well as four sacks, one fumble recovery and one forced fumble. This move with help the Lions run defense that ranked 4th to last in the NFL last year.

It is no surprise that winning is won in the trenches. The Lions have done a great job of drafting players to build out this line with the likes of Alim McNeill, Isaiah Buggs, and John Cominsky, but with big interior guys like Martin, they usually operate best in a rotation. This move should be huge in terms of depth and opening up even more opportunities for Aiden Hutchison to get to the QB.
This move didn't feel flashy, but it felt needed.

Round 5: No. 152 – Colby Sorsdal, OL, William & Mary

The Lions had to finally wait a bit before this pick due to moving around in the draft and trading away their pick round 4. They elected to add depth to their O-Line by taking Colby Sorsdal out of William and Mary. Sometimes its fun being the big fish in the small pond. Sorsdal started in all 46 games he appeared in during his five-year stint at William & Mary. He spent the duration of his college career at Right Tackle. Sorsdal is the first Tribe player to be drafted since 2016, when the Chicago Bears selected safety DeAndre Houston-Carson in the sixth round.
Serving as an offensive co-captain and starting all 13 games at Right Tackle, Sorsdal anchored an offensive line that helped the Tribe rank third in total rushing offense and fourth in fewest sacks allowed. Behind one of the best offensive line units in the country, the Tribe accumulated an 11-2 record and won the CAA Conference Championship for the first time since 2015.
He will be joining a elite O-line led by Penei Sewell, Frank Ragnow and Taylor Decker. Colby wont start, but he will add in needed depth for a team that's success will only goes as far as their line will take them.

Round 7: No. 219 (from HOU through MIN via PHI) – Antoine Green, WR, North Carolina
With the Lions last pick in a very intense draft, they selected Wide Receiver, Antoine Green out of UNC. Most projected Antoine to be signed to a team after the draft so it is a but of a peculiar pick. In the late 7th round, you are just hoping to take a flier on a guy and hoping they pan out.
The 6-foot-3, 199-pound receiver impressed Detroit's coaching staff at the East-West Shrine Bowl, and has the opportunity to compete for playing time his rookie season. According to NFL Draft Bible, Green is a "technically sound, fluid athlete that can give you a little bit of everything as a wide receiver. Green runs routes, it is as if he is attacking his defender rather than going about his route without considering what the defense is doing. Green has a good release off the line of scrimmage and does not get held up too much when facing press coverage. He uses his hands well to reduce contact against the press and accelerate off the line. He analyzes coverages well and makes quick decisions on how to break down his defender throughout his route. He can read zone defenses and has a knack for finding spaces to make himself an easier target."
With Jameson Williams missing 6 games to start the year, there is an opportunity for Green to poach snaps away from anyone not named Amon-Ra or Marvin Jones. There is also a chance he doesn't make it out of camp. Unlikely, but we will see.

Conclusion:

The 2023 NFL draft for the Detroit Lions was a resounding success. They were able to draft 6 times....BEFORE THE FOURTH ROUND!! The extra picks allowed Detroit to really control the draft and move around in a way to get the guys they wanted. They did not care about who they got and when. They just simply got the guys they wanted. After reflecting on its entirety, they landed a lot of great talent. They were able to add a player at every single positional unit and several will end up starting and making an immediate impact.

Look, the Lions are going to Lions so hold your breath a little longer, however Brad Holmes and Jack Campbell have really turned this franchise around and are making them a legit playoff contender. Right now the Lions are favored to win the NFC North for the first time since god knows when. I am projecting a record of 12 and 5 and a NFL North Division Win.

GO LIONS!!!! (FTP)

2023.06.03 22:19 pnglctc Seeking advice regarding credit card collection debt

TLDR; skip to the end for the actual questions. Some of them don’t need context.
I’ll save all the details of how I got myself into this mess in the first place and cut straight to what’s going on now. In short, I was unable to make even the minimum payment on all of my credit card bills. This has resulted in all of those companies closing my account and sending the balance off to collections, in which I have been contacted countless of times about. Now, I do want to preface this with I’m not one of those people who ask questions without trying to find the answer myself first. I have Google’d my questions a million different ways and I either can’t find answers that relate or I straight up do not understand what they’re talking about. Now, I don’t expect a stranger to take time out of their day and write up a personalized credit consolidation plan for another random stranger, but some specific advice is needed here.
I was an Amex customer ever since I got approved for my first CC with them in 2017, I didn’t have much of a credit history so I was approved for $1,000 at the time. I used my card often and I won’t lie, occasionally carried a balance over from month to month but nontheless still made more than the minimum payment every month before the due date. My account was in good standing with no remarks for 4 consistent years until suddenly I was 30, 60, then 90 days late on my balance and it was closed.
I have three total CC accounts in collections and as soon as I was notified by the other two that my account was closed and headed to collections, I received calls from debt collection agencies. For my Amex however, it has never been anyone on the other end of the phone other than Amex themselves. I stopped receiving emails from them about my credit card bill but instead I would occasionally receive an email with an offer to settle my balance and to call or contact them if I have any questions. Can anyone explain this to me? Why am I not getting calls from random debt collectors for my Amex account?
The balance I currently owe to Amex is $1,413. I received an email from them with an offer to settle my debt for less and they gave me a couple of options, one was to settle for $500 and something, the other for $713 and the last option was to pay off my balance in full. Of course, the last option was most recommended.
When it comes to settling a CC collection debt for less vs paying it in full, does it make a huge difference in the increase of my credit score? In the offer letter, it states that once Amex has received all the funds for my remaining balance, they agree to report my balance as $0 and paid in full to the credit bureau. Would I still need to write a letter afterwards asking them to remove the collection off of my report, or is that the same thing in different words? I do understand that it is very easy to settle a debt for less, but I am wondering if that jeopardizes any future relationship I want to have with that CC company in the future? I called Amex to discuss the plan for my payments, and when I asked if paying in full would help my chances of being approved for another card in the future this is what the agent told me; It would be amazing to pay off the full balance and you will then be eligible for the Amex Optima Card (and from my research that seems like Amex’s “second chance” card). Once my debt has been cleared, I am pre approved for an application for the Optima and upon approval, if I make consistent payments I will have the chance to apply for an unsecured Amex card again. When she explained this to me, I was so happy to hear that I wasn’t going to be on that dreaded blacklist for life. I am wondering if anyone has any personal experience with this or even any knowledge at all. If I contact them and tell them I am willing to pay X amount to settle my debt with them rather than paying in full, will my chance at another Amex card be gone?
The same kind of question goes for the other CC companies (CapOne & Chase) but the only difference is that I am no longer communicating with them anymore. I would be communicating with whatever debt collector spent 4 cents on it.
My main questions that I would love any insight at all on are as follows:
Does paying a credit card collection debt in full versus settling the debt for less make a big difference towards a credit score increase? $700 is a lot more doable than $1400, so if it doesn’t change much, I’d rather settle.
Does settling your debt for less completely destroy your relationship with a bank forever?
When I am having these conversations about my debt with the collectors, do I need to ask if they will remove the debt off of my report?
Last question, on a scale of 1-10, how fucked is my credit after all of this? I have around 10k of CC collections under my name. I have a couple of things that are helping, like a car loan and being an authorized user on some other accounts. Right now my scores are at 601, 591 and 579. (Experian)
Even after they are all paid off and potentially removed, will my credit score even be that much higher? Before all of this all happened, I was almost to the 800 club. Feeling very hopeless here!
