If the chips are too thin, they turn to mush. If they are too thick, they become a chore to keep eating. Meanwhile, if they are too salty, it throws the balance off with the toppings and you are left with a massive salt bomb. I've found that the ideal salt level for a nacho chip is 60-90 mg per serving.
The best overall chips I've found in several years of Nacho eating were the Wellsley Farms Organic yellow or blue corn tortilla chips from BJ's Wholesale Warehouse club. They are a good size for toppings, they are strong enough to stand up to the weight and moisture, but not so thick that they are work to crunch through, and they have a low salt level, allowing the toppings to shine through
Sadly, it appears BJ's may have discontinued these awesome chips. I've been searching for a replacement, but I've not come up with anything.
- Santitas are both too salty and too thin
- Late July is good on Salt, but their regular chips get a little too mushy
- On The Border - Too salty and too flimsy
- Vista Hermosa - way too salty, and actually a bit too thick
- Tostitos - Too Salty and too thin
- Mission Chips - Too thin
I'm open to any suggestions

I need help from a math wizard. The calculations on my cats food are incorrect. She gained weight on the 1/2 cup serving. I removed some food and she's losing weight. But I want to be sure I am feeding her enough calories.

my math
Kitty 13 lbs needs around 318 calories.
These are the calculations I came out with. Mind you, I am not great at math. It's different from what is on the product.
They recommend feeding 1/2 cup ( I weighed it and it's 150 grams)
Their website claims that theres 138 calories per 120 g. Which cant be accurate. My cat was gaining weight on 1/2 cup of food. I had to remove a few teaspoons to start her weightloss.
