Really struggling to determine what to do here. I’ve been with my current company just shy of 2 years now. I have 5 years of experience as a CSM.
We were brought in to be part of a new CSM function for this company who didn’t have one. It’s a fairly decent size company and I personally manage 60 clients that are a little over $2.5 million in billings.
Many of them are totally disengaged but we were brought in to change that so about half of my clients are engaged as I got them fresh instead of inheriting them.
My pay is 80k/yr with no bonus or commissions. I have no upselling quotas or contracting responsibilities which is nice because im just a CSM not a CSM sales hybrid.
Last year I only got a 1% raise. I was slow to contribute because we had quite a learning curve with the products and then getting management to allow us to act as CSMs rather that service. Since then we have done a decent amount for the business and churn is supposedly way lower now than before we started.
I guess my question is am I overpaid? Underpaid? Where I should be? Should I look for a better paying gig or ask for a raise?

Ok, so going into this just want to make a few things clear.

1. I am fairly new to the AC franchise, only started in 2020.
2. My first AC game was Brotherhood, which I only played about 5 hours of, then I played through and completed AC3 before returning and finishing BH
3. I LOVED AC3, Combat was an absolute dream, Experiencing the Parkour basically for the first time was very fun, The setting is awesome, I thought Connor was interesting, and honestly liked him more than Ezio (still kinda do tbh), and really just enjoyed every aspect of the game, (accept a few of the minigames revolving around leading a squadron of troops, or anything involving riding a horse.)
4. After I was finished both BH (enjoyed the game, not as much as 3 but still had a great time overall) and 3, I decided to give Unity a try after reading some reviews saying it was a rough start but game was polished now. Played maybe 3-4 hours total
5. Got busy with life, forgot about Unity for a while, ended up buying Black Flag on sale and playing 10-15 hours before I remembered about Unity and decided to return to it, where I then finished it (NOT DEAD KINGS, HAVE NOT FINESHED IT, SO I WILL NOT BE TALKING ABOUT IT)

That Is all the context needed for where I'm at now.

I do not like Assassins Creed Unity.
Now hear me out, before all you Unity fans jump at me screaming "UNITY IS MOST UNDERRATED GAME OF ALL TIME BLAH BLAH BLAH!" remember...

1. At time of release Unity was called terrible because it was a buggy mess, Then they fixed the game so it actually works as intended and now everybody sings its praises... This game is not underrated, People love this game and if you look at the comment section of any YouTube video even mentioning Unity people cant help but say "Unity is my fav game omg so underrated".
2. I'm not an old school Assassins Creed player who would sell there firstborn child to meet Ezio, I don't dislike the game just because "its not AC2 or BH so its bad".
3. I do genuinely think there are good things about this game.
4. This is just my opinion.

Ok, so lets start with what's good about Unity.

1. Parkour. An obvious one, when you start to understand the controls it is gorgeous to look at and flows like water.
2. Paris. Place is pretty. NPCs look good, The larger landmarks are really cool, and they nailed the atmosphere.
3. Music. Soundtrack is good.
4. Arno's Weapons. The single Hidden Blade animations, the Phantom Blade, Cherry bombs, all cool, fun to use.
5. Animations. As mentioned above, the single Hidden Blade, and generally just most animations looks super good.
6. Detective missions. Play as Sherlock Holmes for a bit, pretty fun.
7. Don't honestly care about the modern day story, but the World War Eiffel Tower segment was really cool.

Now lets talk about the average.

1. Combat. Nothing to write home about. Perfectly serviceable, not incredibly fun (I understand the point of Unity, and all AC games really, Is to be stealthy and avoid combat, still keeping it in the average category.)
2. Stealth. I've heard people Praise Unity's stealth and honestly, I don't get the hype. Its fine, better than AC3, that's for sure, but not as good as BH, so idk.
3. Arno. He didn't annoy me, so that's good, But planks of wood leaning against a building don't annoy me either. Lukewarm 5/10 protagonist.
4. Elise. I really want to like Elise, but I feel like she got less interesting as the story went on.
5. Bugs. If your wondering why this is in the average category, its because at no point did they feel worse then the other 3 AC games I played. Pretty few and far between, and rarely game breaking.
6. Open world Objectives. There are lots of them sure, but there for the most part pretty easy to do and don't take long.

And finally the Bad.

1. The UI. Weird opener, right? But for real, The UI felt very... Obtrusive? Maybe that's unfair, as I suppose its not technically much different from the other games, but I found my self playing without it most of the time, which was frustrating because I kept needing it for things. (Maybe not a fair point, but I'm just relaying my experience.)
2. The Story. It felt like the Devs made no effort in trying to make the players care. Sure it opens alright, and the betrayal had at least some emotional impact, but stuff keeps happening and it doesn't really feel like there are any ramifications, Like Arno gets kicked from the Brotherhood and within one sequence you would literally have no idea that was the case, and Elise's Death didn't really pull the heartstrings.
3. Setting wasted. Sort of a combined point with above, but more egregious. Whoever wrote the story for this game to the LITERAL FRENCH REVOULTION, on of the most interesting historical events in the last 500 years, and did jack shit with it. The trailers paint this picture of Arno rising up against a tyrannical French government, and guess what? That never happens. Super disappointing.
4. Gear Stats. Want to look like badass assassin? Well fuck you, The Phantom Hood with the stupid feather in it has way better stats then what you have, and you have to wear it unless you want to be handicapped.
5. Microtransactions. I payed full price for the game, Ubisoft, stop trying to make my buy "Helix credits".
6. Unskippable cutscenes that last way to long.
7. Eagle Vision needs to recharge. Why.

I'm not saying Unity is objectively terrible, I was just very disappointed.

My poor kitty Grog got ahold of a mucinex pill last night and spent the night at the emergency vet. Discharge instructions has her getting acetylcysteine every six hours by mouth and s-adenosyl-methionine (Denamarin advanced) every 24 hours by mouth. (AND getting her blood rechecked every 24 hours for the next three days, all of this combined kinda make it feel like I spent 1200 dollars for them to give her an iv overnight and send me home with the hard stuff but I digress) The tech who checked me out said they had success breaking this horse pill into pieces to dose her, so I had thought I'd grind it up and put it in her wet food, but online info tells me the pill SHOULDN'T be crushed. Sent an offer along with a filled-out form the relevant MLS uses for sellers to acknowledge receipt of an offer. Seller’s agent said the signed acknowledgment form would be returned to me ASAP. That was Saturday morning.
This afternoon he said the seller went with another offer. Still no signed acknowledgment form.
My offer was well above asking, contained an escalation clause that went even further, and I noted that most of the terms were at least a little flexible. It was for a condo. Since I posted my conetribution in the LP (Liquidity Pool) today, I received several DMs asking how to do it and what it was about.
I think there was a lot of newcomers lately (welcone all, glad to see you here) and maybe everybody doesn’t take time to read the links. To get almost all what you need for information, you can go and see the pinned links on top of this sub.
But, let me try to explain quickly :
Bitcones or $Cone is a cryptocurrency created last year, given to people who owned a Cone Head Avatar.
As every crypto, its price depends on supply and demand. So at start nobody wanted it and it was very low value, and now that everybody wants it it’s getting higher.
At start, a crypto is not listed on a big exchange like Binance or Coinbase or whatever. The crypto has to prove that it’s trustworthy, not a scam and also that volume of sales is high enough to be good for a big exchange. That’s why for now Bitcones are only listed on Quickswap which is more like a peer to peer exchange (correct me if I’m wrong).
In order to trade the bitcones between us, except if you find a trust trade, we need a liquidity pool. Basically, you give access to X bitcones and the same amount of ETH or MATIC, and the exchange can trade those for you. If someone buys bitcones, there will be more ETH/MATIC, less bitcones, and the price of the remaining bitcones will be higher. Works the opposite way also.
You can see that like buying apples.
Let’s say you buy 1000 apples (bitcones). You give 100 of them and 100$ to a reseller on a market (liquidity pool). He will sell or buy apples for 1$ at start and will be adjusting prices depending on supply and demand. If he only has 5 apples left, for example, he can try to sell those 50$ each, and if he has 350 of them maybe he can sell those for 25 cents. At the end of the day, you can get back the 100 apples and 100 dollars and you receive a cut of all the sales of the day.
What is important to understand, is that the more the people will add liquidity, the less the prices will be driven by « whales » or people who own a lot.
Imagine the reseller has 100 apples, somebody buys 80, there are only 20 left and price will be like 20$ for each. Same in the other way, imagine some big company (whale) sells 200 apples, there are now 300 apples and the price will be 25 cents again. If you have a lot of liquidity, moves are diluted. So if you have now 10.000 apples worth 1$ at start, you don’t care if a whale sells 250 apples as there will now be 10250 and price will be quite the same.
That’s why we all are preaching liquidity providing. And also because the more liquidity there will be and the more this crypto will be taken seriously.
I would like to warn you all about something before I stop this post : there is something called impermanent loss when you provide liquidity. Basically, if the prices are really pumping on one crypto (let’s imagine bitcones) and not on the other one (let’s imagine ETH), you will be able to cash out what’s left in the pool and sometimes it’s less than if you had just kept those the whole time. Sometimes it’s worth the try because the fees cover what you lost, and sometimes not.
Imagine everybody wanted to buy apples that day, the reseller only has 10 apples left and the price for each apple is 20$, he will be able to give you back the 10 apples left instead of 90. Of course, he will give you the price of the sales for the 90 missing (maybe he sold the first for 1$ each then 2$ then 5$ then 10$ and then 15$). He will give you like 1000$ and 10 apples (+ the cuts of the sales of the day), which is worth less than if you had kept your 100 apples now worth 20$ (2000$ in that example, you better have a good cut of the day sales to cover this)
As I tried to explain, it’s both very very important to have a good liquidity and also a bit risky for those providing. So my advice would be to be smart and not put everything inside. I don’t want to scare everyone here and I myself did provide today, but I feel like you need to know all the story before fomoing in.

My first post on reddit. I was a kid in 1969/1970 and every morning on CBS around 5am to 6am there used to be an educational lecture show called "Sunrise Semester." During the break a weird animated/cartoon PSA would air with a lone man riding a horse through a sparse valley. He seemed afraid. Suddenly some bandits rode up on him to rob him, and one of them suddenly just shoots him dead. A bandit says, "Let's get outta here," and the bandits ride off toward the horizon. The sponsor of the ad, a religious organization, I think, shows up on the screen and the voice of God narrator intones some kind of moral or wisdom which I can't remember ("the Golden Rule", I don't know), and the PSA ends. I have hunted for this fruitlessly for years. In reddit, on Youtube, in the Internet Archive, you name it, and have not found any trace of it, nor any mention of its existence. It was, I believe, similar in style to the well-known Johnny Smoke, anti-smoking PSA, but it was not the same. The "Let's Get Outta Here!" dialogue set it apart from that. The ad shocked me as a kid because the violence is sudden and there appeared to be no hope or redemption, just bleakness. I have no idea what the message of the PSA was. I’m currently in SME data sales (think Dun and Bradstreet) and call about 70 people a day to set up demos. I honestly don’t even make 70k a year. I’m 27 and got into sales 2 years ago. Highest degree of education is an associates.
Should I go back to school for my bachelors or just grind at this position for awhile to build my resume?
