I moved here over 10 years ago and it's been a blast, but my time has now come to move on.
Currently I rent a room near Queens Park/Ammex and it's a bargain at £470 a month plus bills (which rarely hits £100pm). Big sun trap garden with a view of the whole city and a bit of the sea, big kitchen/lounge and 3 really great housemates. It's a good size room for the price, I fit a small double bed, chest of drawers, clothes rail, desk and tv unit (window is the same view as the garden!) The room is unfurnished but the landlady will provide you a bed and mattress if you want one.
This sub has been great to me over the years, giving me amazing recommendations on how to get the most out of this wonderful city so I'd like to try and give something back if I can. So you get first dibs, if there is no interest though, I'll list on spareroom lol.
The house would be suited to someone who works nights, as the rest of the house do - but open to all.
I'll be moving out officially at the end of June but will be gone a bit before that so if you need to move in sooner, then I'm sure we can work something out.
Landlady will require employment reference (they will check with your employer and will call the company) but they do not charge fees for this. Deposit held in protection scheme (£470) and rent is £470 paid on the 1st of each month.

I actually wrote up a post right after the 4th palace. Then I played a bit and they dropped so much more info that I had to toss it. Tomorrow is the trip to Hawaii so I thought this was a good point to stop and make another round of predictions.
The 4th palace is my favorite so far. There was so much symbolism to look into and I really liked the whole cursed gem bit. The end boss was a little annoying.
Things are really picking up pace. I had so many questions that were answered like 20 min later. They're really starting reveal some important details.
This is what I have as of now. In addition to my way off predictions there are also a few bits of info I'm that I'm not sure how they fit yet and some general impressions. I tried to keep it short (I failed).
Please no spoilers for any of the Persona games. This is my first and I plan on picking up 3/4.

Futaba/Alibaba and somehow Morgana

• The squid girl from the movie finally gets a name.
• Futaba's mom is the curry lady (Wakaba)!
• the phone call Sojiro had about a printer not being the right one makes soooo much sense now. I knew he was taking care of someone but I thought it was an old lady. Honestly thought there were going for a cheap laugh were she kept on printing out pictures of snowball or something.
• translated some of the binary on the walls of her palace into ASCII looking for a secret message but they were just the same odd symbols that were on the doors and such.

---tinfoil hat time---

• Futaba picked Alibaba as her hacker alias. before we get to see the whole Egypt / pyramid theme of her palace it seemed like a really odd choice.
• It could be just a cool name that the writers picked but "Chekhov's gun" states that every element introduced in a story should be necessary to the plot. If the gun isn't going to be fired then the audience doesn't need to see it being loaded - or something like that.
• It got me thinking and for sure I remembered the name Alibaba but had forgotten the details of the story. I did a quick search and was able to find the story pretty easily.
• Short version : Alibaba was a dude who stole a bunch of riches from some thieves. Alibaba is living the good life when the thieves track him down and make plans to kill him. The plans are stopped by Alibaba's slave who kills the thieves.
• Alibaba's slave was named .... wait for it .... Morgiana! Mind effing blown! That's way too similar to Morgana not to be important.
• Morgiana was female. Early in the game Ann ask Morgana if it's a boy or a girl. It says of course it's a boy, but it also says that it is human.Morgana might be the Male version of Morgiana but this throws it's gender into question too. It's not like anyone had checked between it's legs as far as I can tell. (also where does it do it's business I haven't seen a litter box).
• Add to this the "birth" flashback that Morgana had
• Morgana is an unwilling servant (aka a slave) to the big bad which is trapped in the deepest part of mementos
• The big bad was able to squeeze through the crack in his prison just enough to deposit a small amount of it's power in the metaverse this power took the form of Morgana.
• The Morgana in the dream had yellow eyes. still going with yellow eyes = metaverse native.
• He was programmed to want to find the deepest part of Mementos at all cost so he could free the big bad.
• His attraction to human desires was not intentional. He got sidetracked from his mission and got caught by Kamoshida.
• Meeting joker was a stroke of luck.
• He keeps telling us that he's using us for his own goals and that he just needs pawns.
• We're made to think that this is just a defensive move to avoid talking about his real feelings but I see a perfect opportunity for a "I told you I was just using you all" scene after the big bad flips some switch later on.
• Most of Morgana's battle functions are getting replaced by other members. Makoto and Futba are both doing the combat calls now. Morgana will leave the party soon.
• Something will happen to Morgana that will flip his switch while the PT are in Hawaii
• Morgiana killed the thieves.... The big bad will take control of Morgana at one point and we will have to fight shadow Morgana or something to get the cat back.
• Was almost thinking Morgana could be the one who betrays us but no one can understand him and even Akechi would have trouble selling the whole "my informant is a cat" thing to Sae.

Kasumi

• A big problem with Kasumi is we know shes going to be a badass by the time the casino heist comes around but right now she's the complete opposite of the person who saves Joker. This isn't like Makoto who is a bad ass and was just holding back. Kasumi is 100% a wet noodle right now.
• Add to that the my weak self relied on you so much line and there is little doubt she has a split personality disorder of some sort.
• They also dropped a major clue for Kasumi after the 3rd palace. She had a sister who died.
• My fist thought was she never had a sister and just had two distinct personalities that were separate but equal to each other. Each would take control at different points and her mind created a fake sister to explain any inconsistencies with her memories. At some point one of her personalities (the sister) was repressed.
• The problem with this is her interactions with joker she doesn't seem like a totally different person just more sure of herself. like her week self is the Kasumi we know now and her complete self is the one we fight with.
• She could have really had a sister and the trauma of the loss sent her into a downward spiral of depression. So *someone* did something to her to repress the negative emotions.
• Her gymnastic slump is important. what ever was done to her was the cause of her slump. Shes missing something of herself which is why she says that her body doesn't move the way she wants it to.
• Current theory is some part of her is locked away. It's not separate, but a piece of the whole person that we fight along side with at the casino. At some point between now and then her two halves will join.
• This brings up the question of what's up with her dad? Unless your some sort bad person wouldn't you notice such a drastic change in your kid?
• Either dad works for the government and was ok experimenting on Kasumi or he somehow thinks whatever was done to her was for the best . Like her current state is better than what was before so this is the cure.
• explains why she transferred schools. He dad claims to work at a TV station (could be a cover). It's not like he would have to move for a new job. If she had a major personality change then her old classmates and teachers would notice. this would cause Kasumi to question her reality which could cause it to fail. moving to a new school removes this issue.
• This would have to go above standard therapy. Either hypnosis or cognitive psience.
• something is going to happen to her dad. we got the glasses shopping scene to show us how close they are. This will be her motivation for going into the metaverse.
• when her persona awakens the mental barrier will be taken down.
• She only has a 5 star confidant rank. It's not like Maruki who still has his card symbol but won't advance till the story does.
• The other 5 starts will be with her "other" personality. After whatever was done to her is undone she's going to be a mess and will turn to Joker.
• something will happen to her while we are in Hawaii. Only reason for her to let us know she was leaving the country of a bit. she might not actually be leaving the country and just be having more mental work done on her.

Maruki

• He want's to legit help people.
• Thinks that traditional therapy is not effective enough. Want to develop a medicine or medical procedure to actually fix people's negative emotions.
• with the introduction of cognative psience we now know the method that he's going to use to attempt this. (could be he already did a test run or two).
• Although his intentions are good things are going to wrong very very wrong.
• After the 2nd exams he talks to joker about not meeting peoples expectations. This comes right after some girls were gossiping about Kasumi in the halls.
• Total misdirection. Since the phantom thieves are making all sorts of waves, the Agency is putting pressure on him to complete his research. This will lead to mistakes being made.
• Eventually his logic will change to "It's better to feel nothing than to feel pain" - this will be his I still think I'm a good guy logic.
• Unless he is also a persona user then were going to visit his palace.
• The first time Joker goes to see Maruki he runs into Kasumi and she tells Joker that she has been seeing Maruki for some time.
• Add to that the line Sae's Boss says on 6/23 "This incident happened at the school you're supposed to be presiding over..." and we have a clear connection from Sae's Boss to the principle at Joker's school.
• He also seemed to be bothered that the Kamoshisa change of heart happened at Shujin like he was aware that something special was going on there.
• This set off all the alarms. The new girl who happens to be a badass persona user transfers to the school and a month later her doctor gets assigned to the very same school. He was hired by the principal who just happens to work for Sae's boss. Sae's boss knows of the metaverse and so does Maruki.
• Maruki was assigned to Kasumi's school to keep tabs on her and make sure whatever he did to her stuck. The Kamoshida incident was just the excuse they needed to bring him in.
• He either developed cognitive psience on his own or was giving Wakaba's research by the Agency.

Akechi

• he has to be the one who betrays the group.
• Keeps putting idea's in Sae's head
• At some point Sae will catch on that Akechi is messing with her.
• working with Shido but not for him. Has his own goals or works for the big bad.
• says he has to catch the PT "for the sake of my justice" combine that with the arcade scene where he ask joker what kind of justice he believes in and Akechi is def bad. He's not after "justice" but "my justice" which sounds a lot like revenge. Has something to do with his father. If the PT crew keep operating they're going to ruin his chance for revenge.
• He will frame the PT by sending a fake calling card and then killing that persons shadow.

Twins / Butterfly Lady

• The number of new confidants that unlock after the 3rd palace was a bit overwhelming but It did give me plenty of chances to watch the new confidant unlock scenes. It got me thinking about what it actually says. Just picked the fortune confidant for this but any would have worked.
• I am thou, thou art I - we are one and the same
• thou hast acquired a new vow. - you just unlocked a new confidant. to quote Jose "Good Job!"
• It shall become the wings of rebellion that breaketh thy chains of captivity. - butterflies have wings also still talking about Joker "thy chains of captivity". We are like a caterpillar and when we obtain out true power we will become a butterfly (not literally). the chains could be a the cocoon that the butterfly breaks out of.
• With the birth of the Fortune Persona I have obtained the winds of blessing that - creatures with wings (like a butterfly) ride the wind. Is now referring to herself in this line "I have obtained..."
• shall lead to freedom and new power..." - It's over 9000!
• The butterfly lady is our persona or at the very least out power levels are connected.
• Part of the butterfly lady's power is sealed in joker. Was not intentional but will be the key to rejoining the twins.
• When there is a fusion alarm the twins do this adorable back stretch where one kicks her legs. They then do this weird like side stretch that looks like the fusion dance from Dragon Ball Z.

Igor

• Not working for the thing that made Morgana.
• Morgana had no knowledge of the skill cards and his mind exploded when joker captured the pixie.
• Even though he's not bad he's still not good.
• Has some cosmic role to fill. His job is to prepare for the final battle. He doesn't care who wins just as long as the fight occurs.
• Gave Akechi the metaverse nav but Akechi betrayed him and went rogue which is why he went looking for a new recruit. He took on the twins after so the same mistakes wouldn't be make with joker.
• Says joker will fight someone with powers very similar to his (jokers) own. Akechi has the wildcard too?

Sojiro

• For the record Joker defended him and never once thought he was abusing Futaba.
• Met Wakaba when he worked for the government.
• Feels guilty that he didn't do anything when she said she was going to die. Was he in a position to do so? What did he do for the government?
• After Wakaba was killed he suspected his own government were behind it and left in disgust.
• Sojiro is just awesome. He would take a bullet for any of Joker's friends and die happy knowing he saved someones life.
• He will be the getaway driver after the PT crew breaks joker out. He's the only person we know with a car.

Sae's Boss / Shido

• They refer to it as the metaverse and not the cognitive world. could be the writers just didn't want to add a new term without context or they gained they're knowledge of the metaverse from an "other worldly" being.

Limo Girl.

• Is in the opening movie both the heist scene and the smash the city part. Will be joining up.
• Ran in to her in the hall at the star of the game she was labeled as a senior
• Riding in a limo. daddy is loaded.
• At the park cleanup she asked Mishima for the bottle cap so they can be used for medicine. She is seen watering flowers at the school also. What we should take away from this is she's a really good person. We need to know see that she's super duper good because her dad is bad like really bad.
• daddy's money is dirty money and she knows it or at least suspects.
• We will change daddy's heart and make him admit his evil ways.
• Her dad is the Shido.
• We don't know when she's going to join up or if the casino heist is her first. Stealing her dad's heart will prob be her first mission so the fact that shes on the comm at the start of the game isn't too much of a problem with her dad being Shido.

Opening Casino Heist

• on 7/29 Morgana says "But it's true that an observant criminal could have a true to reality city in their Palace."
• The opening casino heist wasn't in the real world but was Shido's palace. His palace just included a 1:1 of the city in it. He also says in the scene at the start of the game where joker has a flashback that he owns the cops. Would make sense that the shadows in his cognition would take the form of the police and security guards. The 2nd palace had two types of shadows (male and female) and the 3rd/4th had people/dogs. Multiple types of shadows is not unheard of
• Also looks like we did manage to steal his treasure but not sure if they were able to get it out.
• We don't actually see joker get taken in by the cops. It's possible that the traitor grabbed us after the shadow cops took us down and turned us in to the real world cops. Doesn't mean the world's can't be merging but my reasoning for it is off.
• One thing that bothers me is when they ask if everyone remembers where they have to meet up. Why was joker separate from the rest of the PT? The PT all leave the metaverse together so far. Could just mean where they're going to meet up near the exit (if there is an exit with the palace being the whole city). Hoping for more clues to clarify this.

Mashima

• not going to betray us. he almost fell to the dark side and I haven't seen the conclusion of his story but seems like he's going to an issue.

Best Girl current rankings - Nothing is set yet no decisions have been made just the current rankings.

• Makoto - the scene where the lights go out and she grabs jokers leg just made her more endearing. Her driving skills saved the crew after Palace 4. Could beat Kamoshisa in 1v1 volley ball.
• Futba - who doesn't like a quirky redhead. Her being Boss's adopted daughter could be a good thing as he seems to like Joker at this point in the story so he wouldn't have to give him the whole "let me show you my gun collection" talk. Although I'm thinking shes more like the quirky best friend type then best girl material (so sorry Fatuba Fans plesedonthateme)
• Dr.Death - shes a doctor who really cares about her work. Cares more about helping the little girl then getting the credit for it. She basicly broke down when she thought the girl was dead. Also SP Adhesives are amazing.
• Kasami - 100% little sister vibe while Futaba has potential to move up in rank Kasami is stuck in the sister zone. Who knows maybe her "sister" is more interesting.
• Fortune teller- Still a nice person despite the way she was treated. A but gullible though. I could see her sending all of Joker's savings to a Nigerian prince.
• Chess Girl (I know it's not chess) - mid tier maybe she well get more interesting.
• Ann - Not even in the running really because She's going to end up with Ryuji. If Ryuji wasn't around I would say shes not the bightest bulb in the pack. shes not dumb and seems to at least have passed her exams but we have honor student Makoto and super genius Futaba to compare her to. She is empathetic and has a high emotional intelligence. No way shes going to make it as an Actress with her (lack of) skills I cringe every time she tries. She would make a great councilor though with how she relates to people and to seems to be able to get along with everyone. She could also make it in professional sports with how high she was able to throw Mona after the 4th palace.
• Kawakami - Yes she's ranked lower than someone who is not even in the running. First off she lied about her sister WTF! She just seems like a mess. Her clothes don't fit and her hair is never brushed. She is stuck in "the help" tier. Keep her around for laundry and coffee.

Best Bro current rankings.

• Ryuji - dude is our bro 100% He's the bad influence with a heart of gold and will stick with Joker to the end. He's the Ron Weasly to Joker's Harry Potter. He would be the most fun to go drinking with.
• Yusuke - you will only ever be his 2nd best friend. His true loyalty lies with art. If Joker was hanging off the side of a cliff and Yusuke had to make the decision to save Joker or paint the perfect sunset it would be a real nail biter to see what he decides.
• Mishima- Once he gets over himself he's going to be fine. He's like a more wimpy less fun Ryuji.
• Akechi - he's too full of himself. He always like "ugh I'm just sooooo popular I can't do the little people things like you do" Hanging out with him you would only ever be "Akechi's friend". His sweater vest is dumb.

Hello Mattress!
Sorry for the long post, but I would really love any and all advice.
After spending most of the day trialing mattresses at local businesses, I think I have narrowed down my preferences. I tried 6 latex hybrid mattresses (more like mattresses with some latex in them lol) today and found them incredibly comfortable. However, the prices at these local stores seem to be a little higher than what I've found available online. At this point I'm torn if I should bite the bullet and go with the local mattress because I know I thoroughly enjoyed it in the store or if I should attempt to DIY or locate a similar mattress for a cheaper price. For reference, I am 5'4", 130lb, side/back sleeper.
The specs of the $1800 (Queen + boxspring) mattress I like:

1. Polar touch stretch cover
2. Spinal Zone swirl gel crown
3. 2" natural Talalay latex
4. CertiPUR premium high-density harvest foams (quote from the owner "at least 2.5-4lb density")
5. 8" Responsive coils (website: "more than 800", in person: "Queen count 789"; owner says it's probably the same coils as the mattress below)
6. Life Edge support system ("firmer edge support")

The specs of the $2100 (Queen + boxspring) mattress I like:

1. Hand-tufted maximum cooling fabric cover
2. Ecoloft fiber quilt
3. HiLoft FR fibers
4. High-density plant-based hyper foam
5. 1" nanocoil layer (Queen 1,396; was told this is their most expensive layer)
6. Natural Talalay latex (I forgot to ask how much was in this one)

In the store I also tried a Harvest Green mattress which had 1" of dunlop at the bottom, 8" of coils, then 2" of dunlop and it was AWFUL. I placed a medium-ish 3" talalay topper (owner said "probably 20-30ILD") on it and it wasn't the worst but definitely still too firm. That made me wonder if the Latex Mattress Factory Luxerion mattress (the price!) might end up being too firm for me, even with a talalay or foam topper on it.
The mattresses were incredibly comfortable and I thoroughly enjoyed being on them. I just don't know if I can justify the prices or if there was a cheaper option (I was eyeing the SleepEZ hybrid but found it unnecessary to have a dual-sided mattress).
Additionally, at another store I tried a 7" talalay mattress (32 ILD ish?) which honestly didn't feel bad, though I did want a little bit more plushness on top of it. This made me wonder something: there is a local person selling a one-month-old used 9" Plushbeds Botanical Bliss mattress (6" dunlop core, 2" talalay comfort layer, 1" cotton cover) in medium for $500. Would it end up being better in the long run to just get that mattress and play around with adding toppers to that and forgo the warranty?
I know this was a lot of info, so if anyone has any input at all it would be much appreciated.
TL;DR: Do I get the expensive latex-foam-coil hybrid bed I tried in person and absolutely loved, try to find something similar but cheaper, or do I go for the $500 Plushbeds full-latex option near me and play around with that?

I paid nearly $140 for the mayor's edition of this game a couple years ago on my PS4, and I just launched it after a long time of not using it and it says my campus and mass transit DLC isn't installed. It also says I have to buy it when I search it up on the play store. It doesn't make any sense since I have a ton of cities that have campus DLC buildings but I whenever I try to launch those maps it says I'm missing Campus and a bunch of other DLC's that I had installed already when i first played. Can someone please tell me whats going on with this because I feel like I wasted a ton of money if the game can just take my DLC's away...

Male 27 here. Three years ago i noticed a hard lump behind my ear. As I got scared, I googled it and found out that it is related to lymphs and immune system of our body. Then later on I found another lump, this time near my Achilles Tendon , but not on tendon itself, rather near the left of the calcaneus (heel bone). During those 3 years, they didn't go away, nor did I visit a doctor, as they did not bother me at all. Yesterday as I was showering, I found a new one this time, buried deeper apparently , on jugular vein.
If it helps, I quit smoking 2 years ago, and I don't consume alcohol. 220 lbs at 6'.
Given my age and symptoms, should I be concerned? Thank you!

Hello, I created reddit just to ask for help and I am hoping someone could have any idea how to help me.
I've had a cat for 1 year now, I'd found it on the street last year when it was a 2 month old kitten. It is supper cuddly, and it has never had aggressive outlashes before.
She does have sight issues, she is not blind but she does not see well. Due to this issue, she is unable to jump on a couch, bed or anything, she spends her time on the floor. She is neutered.
As I said, she is super cuddly and I regualrly pick her up to cuddle with me on the bed too. She can jump down by herself.
Almost 3 weeks ago, I was sitting on the computer working and in the meantime the apartment got dark. It was dark for around 20 minutes when I decided to get up and turn some lights on. When I got up, I didn't know my cat was near me, I stepped NEXT to her. I didn't even step on her but she got so scared, she probably felt like prey. Then she started growling and hissing and trying to attack me, for the first time ever (I have never hit her in my life, maybe I stepped on her 2-3 times by accident). She was so angry it was scary, I had to keep her in the room alone over night. Next morning when I let her out, she was still the same, super angry, growling, hissing, trying to attack. The only reason I was able to defend myself was because I would jump on the couch or even the table. She stayed mad for the next day and a half and then she calmed a bit. She was calm for a few hours and then she randomly got triggered by my movement while I was lying in the bed. Not to get into too many details, scenarios like these were repeating themselves - she randomly gets triggered by my simple movement and turns extremely aggressive and I have to lock her up in the room to calm down and in order for her no to be stressing out any more, and so she doesn't hurt me. For a few days I was giving her some medication to calm down, per vet's orders (vet says she is healthy physically and it could be a phase, and that the issue is mental).
I am so desperate because I might have to take her to live somewhere else where she would be outside. She is a quite clumsy cat, I am afraid of putting her to live outside, I am afraid she would get beaten up by other cats, she would be scared all the time or that she would get hit by a car.
Has anyone had a similar situation and how did you fix it?
To recap, she got scared of my movement one day and has been aggressive ever since. She had 3 days where she was behaving well, I was talking to her a lot and literally out of the blue she attacked me (however it happened while I was standing next to the place where the trigger started, but she has been getting outlashes all over the apartment, not just in that one place).
Could this be fixed or will I have to take her to live somewhere else?

Hello everyone, sorry for my bad English. Now I’m in times when I don’t know what to do. Here is my story me 23M and my girlfriend 19F having a 2 year relationship. We meet back to school 4 years ago and we were good friends. 2 years ago I invited her for date and things come out in good ways. First year was very great we never had any problems. First problem came when my brother found himself a girlfriend, later I found out she had conflict with her brother. She hated my brothers girlfriend because she can’t greet to her (to me same) and atc. but what can I do if she is stupid? I said it to my brother talk to her but it didn’t help. She is just stupid I can’t help her. Then she said she is using my brother, yes I talked to my brother about that but he have to find you. Then came the second problem, my girlfriend (it was not her fault) had problem with her sister. Who was the main problem? By my gf mother, me and my gf, because I’m using her (I don’t know how the hell), her mother also declared she (my gf) is ruining her life (with no reason, everytime before she said that, she will not go to her promotion, also she will move somewhere else from house and divorce because everyone is destroying her-and it was just one stupid problem). Then I had birthday and also was invated my brothers girlfriend, from that also problem came because from that reason my girlfriend didn’t wanted to came to my birthday and then it is also my fault. Then at november 2022 my father said shit thing to her 2 times, I discused it with my father do never say something to her like that. I talked about that also with her. My father agreed she was to our house 3 times and troubles didn’t came back with my father. At new year also problem came, she got into conflict with her mother with some little shit thing also about her sister, who was again the bad one? She (who didn’t do anything wrong) and me (who wasnt been there) so again shit thing were said by her mom that I just use her and I’m destoying her( my gf). But question is how the hell? 1,5 went by and we didn’t had normal conflict, I was messeging with her every day, every free time I had I was with her, we went out I paid, when she was ill I cared and was also with her, when she get into conflict with her mother and cried wiped away her tears, I never cheated or talked to other girl. So how the thing come out? Her mother messeged me to come help with my gf because she is crying hard, I just wondered me, The bad one? Who is “destroying” her. I love her more that anything I came that night but it hurt a lot. In january my gf starter to blame me, in her opinion because I planned that we could build house near my parents because we didn’t have to buy space, in summer she agreed now it was problem, I said okay we can think about something different so we can be happy, it was also problem that I wanted after school work in our shop and she wanted to move somewhere else from here, she said why I don’t want any other option, I said okay we can discuss out something. In end of February her mother get also in conflict now with her husband, she felt at night with car. I thought if she hates me some much maybe if I help her now, she will hopefully change, so I went with my gf to find her and we found her, she was greatful. I thought now thing will get right. I started to help to her sister with things so she also will stop hate me without reason. One day I went with her mother and she asked me why she don’t want to go to us (my gf). I said because she ( my gf) hate my brothers gf and my father and only my mom not. One week later my gf started to act strange. I found out she is writing with other male friends. To one of them she wrote how much I’m destroying her and that my family hate her because she said true about my brothers girlfriend(she didn’t said anything), I found it out when I was with her, it destroyed me I couldn’t say anything to her. Only thing was in my head, why me? When I’m giving her everything. Then about one week later she also get into conflict with her mother, because her mother claimed my mother is talking shits about her family. And how? because her friend is not talking that much to her so my gf mother for sure my mother said something shit about my girlfriends family. But no evidence, no examples what she said just claims. My gf mother started care about my gf (before everything was my gf fault in her life, she hated her) and started to talk shit about how bitch my mother is and how much my family want to destroy her family. I didn’t knew anything at that time about that. In April I had difficult times I was had lot of at university. I wrote just with my girlfriend everyday sometimes I was her, yes I was not too happy like before because I was extremely exhausted and tired from university. Then from that she got angry and said that I’m scum because of my family and I didn’t trust her because I first time I said I don’t believe my mother could say anything bad about her family because she always loved her. She said she need time I gave her I also was at her graduation and she invited me out, we also went out, messaged daily. One week ago she started me from no reason ignore. Next day I wrote if she want to get out she said we will discuss, at day nothing and next day also I said if she don’t want just say I’d don’t ignore me. Then she wrote I blame her for everything and she will ignore me. And here I’m. I’m destroyed mentally, I don’t know what to do I would like just to die. I love her so much I also had everything planned to move where she will be next year. What to do please help

I have an 80lb pit-lab who will absolutely destroy and attempt to swallow any kind of toy I put in front of him. The only toys that last are Nylabones & Kong rubber, but he isn’t interested in Kong rubber and I often have to take the Nylabones away from him as he swallows the small pieces. Currently I’m rotating Pacific Pups bundles for aggressive chewers but those each last about 3-5 days so it’s pretty unsustainable on my salary. Can anyone recommend anything better than or at least on par with Nylabone/Kong? I just got him a $25 Bullymake Turkey leg that was listed as one of the highest rated aggressive chew toys on Amazon and it lasted about 3 minutes. I’ve previously had to get his stomach pumped to remove a near entire Tonka rubber toy I left him alone with for about 5 minutes. I don’t think these companies truly understand what an actual aggressive chewer is so I feel like I’m just burning money and risking his life with every purchase. PLEASE give me your best suggestions, and not bones or antlers as his bite is too strong for anything without some give. Any help would be much appreciated!

Driving is hell now. Triggers me nearly every time😩

So it was around 12:40 ish at night, and I had just turned out my light and went to bed. And not long after that, (I swear I'm not crazy), I simply saw this light bulb RIGHT outside my window, as clear as day. No string. Nothing. It was pretty bright, and then it went out, but only for a few seconds. I thought I was just seeing things because I was tired and it was late, but then it turned on again. THEN I started to freak out. It then moved a bit lower, and it disappeared. No one lives with me, nor above me, so I don't know how it could be a prank. Then shortly after that, a few small bluish purplish lights appeared (about the size of a small snowball), and they were floating near my window, so close that I could see the light reflecting on the inside of my window sill. They didn't look like bugs or anything, almost like mini stars, but I feel like I'm losing my mind. They were sort of moving along, I don't know how else to describe it. Then I totally turned on the lights, and then when I turned them off again, they were gone. I don't if I was hallucinating, but it was so real and so out of nowhere, things of this sort never happen to me. Can anyone explain what I might have seen or what I might have been experiencing?

Hey all,
I've recently seen the writing on the wall, and switched almost all my systems from X11 to Wayland.
One thing I'm desperately missing in the Plasma Wayland session is the ability to hide the mouse cursor while typing. There's a konsole option to do this within konsole, and xbanish/unclutteetc. still works for X11 windows, but I almost never have any X11 windows open -- nearly everything I use is Qt/Plasma or GTK. It's rather distracting to me to have the mouse cursor just sitting there while I'm typing, as I'm quite used to it getting out of my way on its own (for decades now).
Is there a hidden feature that accomplishes this somewhere, or some software like xbanish which works in Wayland and hides the mouse cursor while typing?

When she was 11, my daughter was a big fan of doing my face up using my wife’s makeup. She’d spend a considerable amount of time getting everything together, put a hairband on me to keep my hair out of my face, and then she'd just going to town to make me look like the prettiest bearded man you ever did see!
She was surprisingly good at it, too, even though she’d later admit she had no idea what she was doing (my wife would playfully offer advice, and my daughter would respond, in the more adorably annoyed tone, that she didn’t need help). She would also sternly tell me, “Daddy, don’t move/stop moving/stay still!” if I wasn’t still enough, which would make me smile and, in turn, test her patience further.

I've always held those makeover sessions very near and dear to my heart; I absolutely HATE the feeling of anything on my face, but that apprehension would always fade away when I knew my daughter was having fun, the way she'd smile or giggle when I said or did something in response to a brush or pencil or what-have-you tickling my face. Even when she'd tell me to stop moving, there was that smile on her face. My daughter having fun meant I'd be having fun, too, and I absolutely did.
She’s turning 22 in a little bit, and we recently reminisced about the makeovers. Something I never fully considered is how much those moments meant to HER, too, as she told me that those were some of the many best memories she's ever had with me, and that they were a highlight of her weekends.

I guess my point is that we, as dads, have countless moments with our children that we hold very near and dear to our hearts, but that our children will also feel the same way. Love, cherish, and make many great memories with your little ones!

The Araknonian Emperor had decreed it himself – subjugation, or else. This was the message that the Speaker was to send to the Hedronian diplomats. The pretences of a ‘negotiation’ were clearly false the instant the Araknonians made their demand. This was, of course, to be expected. On the journey over to the planet, the Hedron scouts in the neighbouring empires had reported back some preliminary information about their new rival. They were said to be vicious, brutal, and unrelenting.
Of course, they had clearly underestimated the Hedron capacity for insight, as by inviting them to the negotiation table before even attempting to invade showed that they had concerns about their ability to control their new adversary. This was a mistake. The Hedrons had learned that Araknon never negotiated without control of their opponents’ skies, and typically the capitulation of a world or two.
By allowing the Hedrons to get into their space without being at war first gave a huge opportunity for the Hedrons to gain all they needed to know about the Araknonians. The presence of what looked to be crack shock troops was concerning, however the Hedronian’s own recon marines were already finding out exactly how many they truly had, and how capable they were. The Hedron 1st Shadow fleet had already begun an incursion into their space near where their forces appeared to be assembling, and all shipyards were poised for emergency war production and ship building, something not enacted for centuries.
If the Araknonians wanted to start a war, then Hedron will not stand it their way. They would, however, finish it.

Stardate 2295.03.05 Araknonian court, Ancom 3
Negotiations, despite the Araknonian inference that they were to be short and sweet, carried on for weeks, mostly due to our unprecedented demands for a lengthy negotiation on each and every part of this subjugation ‘proposal’ of course, we never intended to sign such an agreement, but instead to allow us time to better position our fleets for a fast engagement.
‘Stop this madness! Your weak species would be crushed under our empire’s might!’ Kolhor, and by extension the Araknonians, grew impatient. Time was up.
‘And your point is what, esteemed speaker? We were invited to negotiate on this agreement so that each party may come away satisfied, were we not?’ Silvya was not about to back down here. If the Araknonians truly wanted war, then they may as well declare it. ‘Or are we here for another reason, esteemed one.’
‘I… How dare you accuse us of playing games! You are the ones who are against the wall. Even now our fleets are ready to wipe your sorry excuse for a grand fleet out, and your Empire will vanish from the history books!’ The speaker was now shouting, screeching really. It was time, then for a recess.
‘Is that so, Speaker. In that case I must take my delegation to discuss the current state of the proposal and gain our leader’s approval for its acceptance.’ Silvya feigned a defeatist state before the speaker – she couldn’t risk them knowing the next move.

Hedron recess hall, Ancom 3
‘We have no choice, Empress. We must reject their proposal and wage war.’ Silvya was solemn in her proposal.
‘Very well then Diplomat Kant. Our forces are in adequate positioning. Ensure your marines are off world and out of sight before rejection. We have reason to believe the Araknonians seek to invade immediately.’ The Empress was ever calm. This moment had been prepared for, expected.
With plans in motion, the link cut off.
‘Well folks, you all heard the Empress. Pack your bags. We are going to war.’ Silvya resolved herself.
‘This will be a time of great struggle for our people, but rest assured, when this crisis is resolved, our time and actions here will not be seen as wasted time, but as crucial to our success and decisive victory. It is high time someone knocked these Araknonians down from their high horse. Who better than us!’

Araknonian Palace, Araknor. Stardate 2295.03.06
‘Emperor, you had better see this.’ The messenger was sheepish in his delivery.
A recording holo of the Hedronian refusal was loaded into the viewer. The envoy, Slyvia Kant, appeared.
‘Speaker! Your proposal is disrespectful to our peoples, and we have no choice but to reject it. We also formally declare to you this: You will never control us. It does not matter if you take our skies, or our governments. Our fellow Humans in the New Terra Republic and the Sol Collective will not only come to our aid, but will continue any war you choose to begin against us with vicious ferocity. You have been warned. We may appear weak, but we are the bear that you do not poke. We have not known war for centuries, but we will gladly accept it.’
‘How dare they!’ The messenger thought the Emperor might just drop dead from rage just that instant. He was evidently more furious with the idea that he might die before this puny, disrespectful race was wiped from the databanks permanently. ‘They shall crumble before us! No race in this great Empire shall rest until they come begging to us for mercy. We will not grant them it.’
‘Of course, your grace. Shall we send a declaration?’
‘No. They knew what they were doing.’ The Emperor rested, awaiting the reports from his admirals at the front.

Encidion, Planetoid 2286A, Hedron Shadow Fleet HQ. Stardate 2295.03.07
Rear Admiral Finlay Tianor gripped the lectern in front of him. The transmission had awoken him in the middle of the night, the one he had dreaded coming.
‘We stand at the verge of the most defining action to happen in centuries. It is up to us, as our nation's most prized fleet, and unknown to the enemy, to make a name for ourselves. We will be ruthless, we will be cunning, and we will cut their lines to shreds. The order has been passed down from Her Highness to jump to their lines. We are to operate on prize rules. Pick a target, call for support if required. We will strike them where they think they have complete invulnerability. Our latest upgrades mean that as of now, your homebase, our Headquarters, no longer lie here. They lie wherever you choose!’ He paused to allow the now deafening roar coming from the officers to die down.
‘So find a system with high traffic, lie dormant and wait for that grand prize to fall into your laps! This base is to be remembered in your logs only as a supply cache, indistinguishable from any other we may set up, and do set them up wherever you can. I don’t want any reports of ships returning here from combat with weapons still aboard, even if you are critically damaged! Whatever’s done that damage, it won’t hurt to give it a little nudge towards the other side in reciprocation! Fight these spineless bastards to extinction, give no quarter in combat. Fight until your cannons overheat, your railguns blow their cells and the torpedo bays glow with the heat of a hundred motors!’ He ended triumphantly, before the noise of the room overcame even his microphoned cheers.
This war was going to be bloody, just not for them.

I just got a Samsung S23 after reading excellent reviews about it. I had a mid-range, broken Nokia 7.2 for a few years and held off on buying a new phone until I felt absolutely certain of my decision.
Overall, I'm satisfied with the UI, size of phone (I was waiting for a normal-sized model to hit the markets again), and the night mode, but I am kind of disappointed in the camera quality (which I heard was AMAZING).
First of all, I think that the front camera is garbage. It somehow sharpens and adds shadows to every pore and imperfection. I have never seen a camera do that. To prove that this wasn't my vanity talking, I gave my phone to several people, and each one was dissatisfied with how they looked. Is this fixable on the settings side, or am I stuck with it?
I personally like to take photos in 9:16, but they come out kind of grainy and over-sharpened. I'm assuming this is a hardware issue that is unfixable? Also, if I try to take a macro shot, parts of the image (esp text) get blurred. What the FUCK. Again, I have never had a phone do that. I have to move the phone away from the object to try and get a semi decent photo. I heard some people say that this is a hardware issue, while others say this is a software focus issue that Samsung is releasing a patch for. What is the consensus here?
My Galaxy S6, which lasted me 5 years, had the best phone camera I ever used. Aside from the battery life, it was damn near perfect. They HAD the tech back then, how did they fuck it up 8 years later? Am I insane, or does anyone else feel this way? This is an 830 dollar phone, and the only real upgrade from my 350 dollar Nokia is the excellent night mode setting. I kind of feel swindled and I'm considering returning the phone and getting another mid-range. I tried someone's iphone (a 2020 model?) and the camera quality was way better.
Does anyone on this forum recommend settings that I can try and/or software updates I can download before I throw in the towel?
My apologies for the rant. I'm incredibly frustrated that I spent this much money for mid-range quality at best.

I (25f) moved into a new apartment 3 months ago. It is a large duplex - I live in the basement suite and the main/2nd floors are a separate suite. My upstairs neighbour S (mid-30's f) has been making my life very difficult ever since I moved in. Some context:
I've lived with roommates before, but this is my first time living on my own and I adopted a 2-year-old cat named Lucy when I moved into this apartment. S is a single mom with two young kids. I hear her yelling at her kids, swearing at them, and the kids crying nearly every day. S has a front door to the house with a doorbell camera, but there is also a side door that we both use to access our suites. I have the breaker box for the house in my apartment, so anytime a breaker flips (which happens semi-regularly), either myself or the landlord has to manually flip it at the breaker. All the fuses are labelled so we know which is which. One day shortly after I moved in, she had a breaker flip and came down to my apartment door, banging on it and asking me to let her in to flip the breaker. She noticed my cat's food dish and toys and asked if I had a cat. When I said yes, she was annoyed, saying "That's why my kids have been so f-ing sick since you moved in! They're allergic!" (We live in a pet-friendly building, and she has two dogs).
When I was having my wifi installed, she came down to complain that the wifi tech parked in her spot, demanding that he move immediately. She angrily told me that he should never have parked in her spot when I "didn't have permission" to allow him. He parked there of his own accord and I had no idea since he just showed up at my door. There were a couple of other times she came to my apartment to flip the breaker, with no major issues.
Now to the issue at hand! A couple of days ago, I got home after work, and within 5 minutes she was banging on my apartment door and yelling at me to stop messing with her. Through the door I asked her what she meant, saying I had no idea what she was talking about. She said her power was out again and to just turn it back on, then she went back to her apartment. I was very confused but looked at the breaker box and saw that all the switches were in the right position.
A few minutes later, she came back and was even angrier. I opened my door so she could look at the breaker box herself thinking it would calm her down. It did the opposite. She started yelling saying she didn't know what she ever did to make me mess with her, why couldn't I just leave her alone...When I said I never touched the power and was not doing anything to her, she began yelling in my face. She called me a liar, saying that she had cameras and saw when I come or leave the house. She said if I didn't stop messing with her power, I would be sorry. She flipped all her breakers off and back on, then she left.
I immediately emailed my landlord describing what had happened. She called to apologize but said she was confused. She had instructed S to call her if she had power issues, so why was she coming to me? I mentioned it had happened before and the landlord told me that she would remind S not to come to me. After informing the landlord of the other interactions with her, she instructed me not to open the door and to call the police if S came down and would not leave me alone. Over the next few days, I felt more and more on edge and unsafe about the situation. So I emailed my landlord again saying that I felt unsafe and if S thought I was still messing with her, I was worried she would escalate and do something drastic. I said that because of how unsafe I felt, I was going to start looking for a new apartment, and hoped that they would allow me to break my lease without the penalties (2 months' rent) that were outlined in my lease agreement. Apparently, since S had not physically harmed me and I had no actual proof of what had happened, it was her word against mine. So if I decided to break my lease, I would have to pay the full penalty. I cannot afford to move AND have to pay the fine, so what should I do?

Hello! My name is Ryzah, I’m F18. Well, it’s not my real name, but it what I go by online :) I have a long term plot that I think could be tons of fun, if anyone is interested! My requirements are that your posts are ~300-500 words, third person past tense, and that ooc chat is friendly :) I’d also prefer to write on discord!
Here’s the plot;
This city is run by one person, and one person only. (blank) CEO of (blank) (whatever company name), not only had monopoly over almost every legal business, but the underworld of the city as well. Drugs, weapons, illegal imports and exports; They had a hand in it all.
The child of this person was proving to be promising as well. They were quickly making their name known within the dark side of the city as someone who would do anything to ensure their parent got what they wanted.
However, along with the fear and obedience that came with this status, also came those who would seek to harm them. After a near-successful assassination attempt, their parent hires a bodyguard for their child from out of a gang they are closely affiliated with. Neither the child or their new bodyguard are too thrilled about the situation and are almost constantly at each other’s throats.
…Until the parent is assasinated, leaving the child as the sole heir to all their parents’ businesses and assets. As they try to navigate this new responsibility, they’re also determined to find their parent’s killer, with their bodyguard as their only help and friend.
But, plot twist: The bodyguard is the killer. The gang they’re from wasn’t happy with the deals they were getting from the parent, so they sent their elusive assassin to take on the role of bodyguard for the child of their target so they could get closer to the family, and also avoid suspicion.
These two would eventually fall in love over time, and would have to work together to unravel a mystery that ends in tragedy.
I can play either character, and any character can be any gender! MxM, FxF, or MxF pairings all work fine for me. NbxA is also fine!
I have a bit more info on the characters’ stories themselves, if you’re interested. But we can also build completely new characters with a different dynamic to each other.
